Anyone struggling stick with it. I am the worst non believer in anything like this, but it does work I am living proof. 53 years old not run since I left school. Actually enjoy it. Clears my anxiety, helping get rid of my type 2 diabetes.

Diabetes 2 and Prednisolone
Hi, I have familial diabetes. When I started taking Pred for PR my hbac1 went extremely high. However I was put on a very large dose, this was last December. Despite not giving in to the awful hunger pangs my weight started to increase and I had fluid retention. I have been following a low carb diet,

Polymyalgia and Type II Diabetes
Hello everyone! I was diagnosed with PMR in November 2012 and until March 2014 was on 20mg Prednisolone reducing to 1mg. Since 2014 I have been clear of PMR. However, I am now experiencing pain in the shoulders and upper arms. I am having a blood test to determine whether this is the return of PMR. However

Where is the Phase 3 trial? Minocycline and Creatine
The primary objective of this trial was to assess the impact of minocycline and creatine on the progression of PD and determine if it was futile or non-futile to proceed with further study of these agents. In the study, 200 people with early, untreated PD were equally randomized to receive minocycline

Really bad hunger attack...
I was getting these really bad hunger attacks since being on prednisone. I assume it is an insulin problem. Have had glucose checked and everything is fine. Since going on very low carbs (about 9 weeks) I have been getting less of these attacks. Yesterday I had a rare attack of hunger and shaking .

HbA1c Tests and Watching Out for Possible Diabetes

What would you do? Go ahead with FET or postpone for 2 cycles and lose some weight first?
I've done the egg retrieval, given myself a cycle off and am all good to go with my first ever FET next week. We have 6 pgs normal blastocysts in the freezer. Yesterday at my day 2 scan I asked the nurse if it's dangerous to be pregnant and weigh 108kg (BMI 37). Absolutely nobody has asked me my weight

Maintaining V D3 & B12 to best levels and A1C is between 7 and 8 without medic and only by lifesty changes, I think one can live happily???
I mean, most of the people fret about the dreaded issue, I think if all the markers (Cholesterol, LFT, KFT, Blood Profile, etc.) are good and one is able to maintain HBA1C between 7 & 8, irrespective of FASTING (it can be high because of many reasons) or PP markers you can live without stress; which

Took the graduation celebrations too far!!
I took the 'completing C25K' celebrations far too far 😊 I did my last run last Tuesday and then had a few days off work, met up with friends, had a day at Ascot, looked after my grandson for two days and I've eaten too much, drunk too much and haven't run at all for the last six days! It was fabulous

High Amylase reading
I have recently been told that my amylase level is above normal level and has been so since last July at least; I have been told that I must have an ultrasound scan of the abdomen. Whenever I have been to hospital with AF, they have done this particular blood test as part of the usual suite of tests.

Are low carb diets any good?
Low-carb diets could reduce diabetes, heart disease and stroke risk even if people DON'T lose weight by cutting down on bread, potatoes and pasta https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-7162631/Low-carb-diets-reduce-diabetes-heart-disease-stroke-risk-people-DONT-lose-weight.html

Low carb advise please
I have been ttc for 16 months, I know compared its not long but after 14 months I went to see the GP and after several blood tests, they have now said I have mild Pcos. The Dr said I need to change my diet to a low carb and low sugar diet, due to my hormone levels being abnormal and insulin being a factor
