Back pain
Hey my friends just checking to see if any of you have ever had RFA on you back? My pain management doctor wants to do that because other than pain meds there is nothing that can be done for my back. I saw a neurosurgeon and she did mri with contrast. She said that she would have to give me a whole

Do you know when you're having afib?
I had afib for six months before an ablation in November 2016. In October I'd started using a CPAP machine. I also have a Pacemaker for bradycardia; it keeps track of any afib episodes, and I've had none since the ablation. The question is whether I should stay on the Xeralto, blood thinner to counter

Covid-Two ambulance visits
On the 29th March, I called an ambulance to send my Dad to hospital. He’d been battling Covid for a week or so at home, but it had got progressively worse to the point he was struggling to breath. There was crackling in his chest and I noted his Sats had dropped. He battled in hospital on CPAP for

Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and nightmares ... please help
My husband has Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), he has bad nightmares and 12 months ago also developed anxiety and PTSD. I recently read an article that says these 3 symptoms can be linked to OSA. Has anyone else come across this and is there any help to manage these symptoms as they affect his sleep

Fit health watches
I use a fit health watch and have the App on my phone, I have sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine all so in my 70s Can you tell me if this technology is accurate as on my charts I keep finding periods in my sleep that show waking up time a lot but unaware I am awake presuming I have been having apneas

Things took a bad turn
Dad had been in ICU for about 56 days on a ventilator due to Covid, he was finally transferred to rehab with a tracheotomy. He was still on dialysis but kidneys were just starting to kick in. He was awake, alert but couldn’t speak yet. Had minimal muscle movement, was using his right hand however his

Zytiga and stomach pain; pain relief cocktails
Hello, guys. I haven't been on line much, as we've had a rough couple of months. We went to Europe in early January. My husband had some pain, but got through the trip beautifully. A few weeks after getting home, he picked up a produce bag at the grocery store and snapped his upper arm bone. He's since

Low Dose Tetrahydrocannabinol and Melatonin for Better Sleep and Cognitive Function
Hello HealthUnlocked Members, I have been on ADT continuously since February 2016 and in general I have tolerated Lupron fairly well to date. The hot flashes have diminished in frequency and intensity over time and bone density is normal for my age (65 years). I have found that exercise, keeping cool

Covid19- ecmo- ventilator-multiple organ failure
Hi all. I just wanted to share our story, as I am really struggling lately. My boyfriend, who is 30yrs old, fit and with no underlying issues has been in the hospital for the past nearly two months fighting the damage done from covid19. He spent first 5 days on a cpap mask then had to be put on a ventilator

Does anyone else have Hot Feet with RLS?
Hi Everyone, It's so interesting to read everyone's experiences with RLS. I have had RLS since I was about 15 (I am 50 now). I used to call it "Hot Feet Syndrome" because I had never heard of RLS, and it is only my feet that are affected. My feet get super hot most nights, I have to sleep with them

Are you Sleeping Peacefully?
I was suffering from breathing problems while sleeping. This use to put me in a terrible situation. When I consulted a doctor, and he asked me to wear a CPAP machine mask while sleeping. I did thorough research to find out companies that manufacture the CPAP machine mask of good quality. I was introduced

Can I use CPAP without sleep apnea?
Hey guys, So I have been a snorer since I can remember, sometimes quite loud. I often wake up very tired and have trouble waking up all night. I wanted to take the test, but I have a very high deductible, and I don't really want to spend money out of my pocket. However, I recorded myself sleeping

What is the best CPAP machine to buy?
Hey everyone, I have always snored; for 30 years. My wife suggested doing a check-up, but I don't care about it. The last six months, all of a sudden, I was exhausted during the day, and I don't understand the reason for the sudden change. Finally, I did a sleep test, and the results show that I have

AFib and CBD/THC Creme for pain - is there a risk factor using it?
I've developed terrible knee pain and have no access because of CV-19 to see a doctor for my knee. I was wondering about using CBD with or without THC in creme form for pain relief. Currently I have 5/25 Oxyodone for back pain but refrain from taking it unless I really need to for several reasons.

How long does it take to decide if it’s ICU delirium or brain damage, after coming off the ventilator?
My mum spent 17 days ventilated for covid and pneumonia and potentially a secondary bacterial infection. She was on CPAP for 2 weeks before and managed at home for 2 weeks before that. She suffered some kidney damage (no dialysis) had brain swelling (PRES) and some seizures. They extubated her on Thursday

Dad is very agitated when lowering on sedation
My dad is intubated almost 3 weeks now. Doctor try to wean him from sedation and off the ventilator but was very agitated everytime they try to lower the sedation. I'm very worried that he won't be able to wean off ventilator if he continue. they try him on CPAP while sedated and did great, but he's

Struggling today
I'm really struggling this morning, can't seem to stop crying and I have to go to work in 15 minutes. Dad is stable and oxygen requirement 50% but I'm finding it difficult that after a really good week last week where he was on cpap mode and waking up, he is now fully sedated, with paralysing agents
