How much codeine should I take?
I’ve just had telephone consultation with a G.P. I’ve had no sleep for 4 nights, I’ve stopped the pramipexole completely now. Took the last one on Sunday night. She’s just prescribed me Quinine!! For cramp I said it’s not cramp it’s rls and plmd! I’ve managed to persuade her to give me some codedine.

I'm desperately in need of help for my mum.
My mum is 89 on chemo, plus she has dialysis 3 times a week. She's also got AF and leg ulcers. She's been on pramiproxal for years and still suffers with RSL. The GP took her off that and put her on quinine but this doesn't do anything for it. They now want to take her off quinine due to the kidney

Cramps
I have PBC and am in 70s. Does anyone else have terrible muscle spasms, cramps in legs and hands? These seem to be worse at night or after relaxing on a sofa. I try to drink lots of water, take magnesium and calcium tablets but some nights it's waking me every hour. I have to get up and walk on

First post here but been reading and learning for the last 6 months or so. I currently have 2 issues which I’d like some advice / comment on. The 2 questions are at the end of this post, thought I’d just give some (a lot) of background. Please feel free to skip to the end. I’ve had intermittent

My Start Page - What I've learned and do now.
This is the Start Here paper, with clues & tips for RLS sufferers. Print it out and refer to it often. It may be your road map to possible relief. START HERE - and welcome. If you actually have Restless Legs (or Limbs) Syndrome - RLS/PLMD (now also known as Willis-Eckbom Disease) and do not know

Calf Pain and PAD
Hi, I wasn't sure if this should be posted in a Diabetes forum or on here, after thinking about it I think that this BHF site is the better option. So Peripheral Arterial Disease. I had both Iliac Arteries 'bored' out with balloon angioplasty in May of this year (Left leg fully occulted and Right leg

Is it OK to drink Tonic Water?
Not being very keen on tea and coffee I struggle to drink plain water. Quinine
I have primary RLS, it's runs family. My mom, sister, brother and now son all have it. Mine started at 11 on a long car ride home. It worsened over the years. I told my family doctor about it at age 21 and he wrote me a script for Quinine capsules. Boom gone! Years later the new doctor says it didn't

No meds….yet
Hi New to this forum and RLS. Insomnia is crippling me and affecting everything from weight gain to cognitive abilities. I am desperately seeking sleep. GP has prescribed Quinine but little affect. Also on iron tablets, B12, Vit D, Magnesium. Next stop Ropinole. I’m scared to take this as there appears

quinidine
sulfate (Nuedexta®): The FDA has approved a combination of
dextromethorphan
(a cough suppressant) and a very low dose of

Pramipexole relief
My doctor has just prescribed quinine as a relief from Pramipexole which I have been on for over 20 years. I was so taken aback I couldn't argue with her, but surely this doesn't work as well as any of the drugs described here. Has anyone had any success with quinine?

About 11 years ago I was diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome and had a de-fib fitted as well as prescibed Quinidine and Bisoloprol which I have taken ever since. 4 years ago my de-fib activated so my Consultant increased the levles of Quinidine. However I am told by my Consultant & Pharmacy that they cannot
