CRPC & Prednisolone or Dexamethasone. Neutrophil to Lymphocyte Ratio [NLR].
Seven of these patients (37%) achieved a PSA response to
dexamethasone
, which suggests a potential role for
dexamethasone
even after progression on prednisone therapy." The new study (U.K., Royal Marsden) involved "75 chemotherapy and abiraterone/enzalutamide-naive CRPC patients."

Asthma and sinus surgery
I had sinus surgery five weeks ago - polyps were removed and my turbinates were reduced as I was certain my sinus issues were making my asthma much worse - inhalers had little effect and it was course after course of prednisilone. Up to now I am cleaning my sinuses out with neil med and taking betamethasone

Advice for a new member please.
I am pleased to see
dexamethasone
suppression test was adequate suppression down to <30. The thyroid itself is goitrous and on recent ultrasound had increased vascularity.

Therefore I would recommend to take

Out of ideas
The brain mri came up clear, my
dexamethasone
test also came back normal but my saliva results are still coming back elevated at all points. The endo insisted I didn't have cushings based on appearance alone and had no other suggestions post testing.

MRI results
Prior to my daughter's MRI of her hips,
dexamethasone
was prescribed by her primary because her pain and swelling was worsening. Steroids worked. However, MRI showed negative for arthritis. She has multiple symptoms pointing to arthritis and I would like to know if
dexamethasone
can alter MRI scan.

Has anyone been prescribed
Dexamethasone
. If so what were your results and side affects. I have read that after the initial dose you don't take it again for two months. My hematologist says he will prescribe this for me if my platelets drop below 30,000. Lowest I've been so far is 36,000.

1st week on venetoclax - WOW, not what we expected... Part 2
The plan - my husband was to be re-admitted to hospital and we moved forward with 2nd dose of 50mg, he also introduced a steroid
dexamethasone
(sp?) to help with the breakdown of the nodes and we were going watch till the end of the week and if nothing worked then switch to Idealasib (sp.).

Hashimoto's - Hypothyroid, Insulin resistance
Doctor even did a Cortisol test I had to take a
dexamethasone
pill the night before the test ---- my result was 6.6 with the reference of 6.2-19.4 but prior to that They apparently messed up on the procedure for the same test and had me at 10.2 (reference 6.2-19.4) I just wish I understood this

Do Steroids interact with Thyroxine Meds?
The literature does not spell out any drug interactions between Steroids (
Dexamethasone
) and Thyroxine (Activis Armour NDT) which, I think, probably means "maybe". Now coincidently I had a refill of my thyroid meds just before I hurt my back, that would be about March 1st.

Advice
I have some
Dexamethasone
tablets left over and find that one 2mg tablet taken every three to four days relieves the pain enough for me to work, does this sound like PMR? It does from where I am sitting.

steroids
Hi there, I am 2 years post oesophagectomy, and I am now on steroids
dexamethasone
, but I am having terrible rashes on my legs and arms that keep on bleeding. I am on a 2mg daily dose, but the doctor has advised to go to a 1mg daily dose. Has anyone else had a problem with steroids?
