Instead of Isocort?
I took Isocort for more than two years and did great on it. Then, it was reformulated, and they went from sheep adrenal to plant-based derivatives. Not so good anymore. Finally, Isocort was discontinued altogether. I have never tried hydrocortisone, but I have been on Medrol for the past couple of years

how to find the best treatment for hypoT?
I really need some advice from others here who have been through the same thing. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's) fifteen years ago, after feeling crappy for years and being told I suffered from depression, and that my weight gain was only due to junk food and lack of exercise... Anyway

adrenal fatigue treatment questions
orry if this has been discussed before. I have been on Medrol for adrenal fatigue for the past three years. It works even though I do not really realise it. What I mean is that I forget to bring it on a trip recently and, after about 24 hours, I started feeling more tired than usual. So it definitely

Methylprednisolone
I live in the States, and was wondering if anyone on here is on Medrol (methylprednisolone)? From what I understand it is prednisone but just works a little different in the body. My question is if anyone would know how to go about tapering on this drug because the smallest pill I can get is 4mg. So

Post test results for Ezetrol 10 mg
I promised my partner, my heart specialist to test this product in order to lower my supposedly high cholesterol (total chol. 7,74; HDL :1,66; LDLc: 5,4; Tri.:1,49 mmol) . As I couldn't put up with terrible cramp with Atorvastine I was to try the Ezetrol, so I did a 2 month trial. This is what happened

adrenal glandular vs adrenal cortex?
I have been taking American Biologics Adrenal Cortex lately, and have been doing well on it. Since I have been reading glowing reviews on Adrenal Glandular, also by AB, I decided to try that as well, in order to decide which one is best for me, or if I could possibly combine both, depending on how I

best treatment for adrenal fatigue? Confused!
I have a question on adrenal fatigue: I read recently that you should never take drugs like Prednisone or Medrol for adrenal fatigue, but only HC (if anything). I have been on Medrol for a couple of years now, and the reason my doctor (trained by Hertoghe) would not put me on HC was because I tended

HC always best for treating adrenal fatigue?
I hope it's ok to ask questions about adrenal fatigue here. I have been on Medrol for the past three years for adrenal fatigue (prescribed by a Hertoghe doctor). I was told the reason I could not take hydrocortisone (HC) was because I tended to retain fluid (this was when I was still on T4 drugs only

adrenal fatigue treatment?
I have been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, and have been on Medrol since 2011. I have tried to wean off it several times, so far without success. The only thing I've managed to do was to go from 6 mg to 4 mg daily. Years ago, I was on Isocort, and did great on it. That was before I had been officially

adrenal fatigue support?!
I would like to know if anyone else has been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, and if you have managed to treat in successfully (with the help of your doctor or on your own). If so, how? I have been diagnosed with AF by two so called top docs in Belgium. One put me on Medrol, the other one on a supplement

male hormones?
I am curious to find out if anyone here has been prescribed testosterone? I am not sure what to think about T supplementation in women, and it seems to be a highly controversial subject. My doctor (a Hertoghe doctor) said my T levels were lowish, and prescribed Testim. In the package leaflet, it says

adrenal fatigue and weaning off support
Sorry if this question has already been asked and answered! I have been on Medrol for the past three and a half years, and would like to get off it. As far as I know, both Medrol, Prednisone and HC suppress your own adrenals even further. The reason I was put on Medrol, rather than HC, was that I tended

Cholesterol con and more
Hi there, just back after a few weeks of reading the Cholesterol Con book; although I really enjoyed reading the book and I feel that he has a lot of common sense and relative truths in his favor, however I'm still anxious about not doing anything to lower the LDL levels. So having seen a heart specialist

estrogen vs progesterone question
I have a question not strictly related to thyroid hormone, but I hope it's ok to post it here anyway as all hormones interact. I have been reading a lot about estrogen dominance, which seems common after age 35 as progesterone production will decrease as much as 75%, but estrogen production only about

I'm confused about tapering off Medrol. I'm at 4 mg now and wake up with a lot of pain from PMR I've had for 1 1/2 years. One rheumi said I should not be in pain before reducing. Another one told me we need to find something else to mitigate the pain because being on steroids too long will cause problems

Just letting all the good folk here find out how I survived the wedding ! They all encouraged me through a bad spell a few weeks ago. Medrol vs HC?
Does anyone know the possible benefits of Medrol as compared to HC in someone with adrenal fatigue? When would Medrol be preferred to HC? Has anyone tried both?

Horrendous visit to GP, seronegativity rears it's ugly head again!!!
Hi Everyone, I apologise first,as this will likely be a rant, but I am still so upset I just have to share my experience of this morning. I was diagnosed finally after decades of suffering by an excellent Rheumatologist as having Seronegative Sjogrens and possibly Lupus eighteen
