Good afternoon and I hope everyone is feel as well as can be. Sorry for long post. Elimination project or rather, process of elimination. As everyone knows, I have had a pretty problematic year. Two stays in hospital for horrendous flares and new symptoms added both times. Nov 2018, was taken to

Frustrating but little things mean a lot.
Hi everyone am I on my own or is it common for us to be unable to complete household tasks or have a normal social life. Recently, I find myself struggling with even the basic things. I was able to come through my whole house in a couple of hours cleaning and have energy left over. This was as well

Using Performist
Can anyone tell me about their experience with Performist. I'm hoping to have this added to my med list. One of the things I'd like to know is what to use for a rescue med. Right now I'm on Budesonide and Yupelri and I'm using Albuterol as rescue medication. But I've read that you shouldn't use Albuterol

Drug side-effect / bleeding under skin
During lunch today, I noticed that I have little tiny spots all over my right hand and up my arm. After a bit of research, I learned they are called Petechiae, which are blood spots under the skin and are caused by tiny burst blood vessels. They can be distinguished from a rash by pressing on them.

what a roundabout
Hi everyone...I posted a while ago about me being put on a new medication called mycophenolate..it's not new to AIH/PBC, but it is new to me. I have been on this for around two and a half months now. In the beginning lots of side effects which seem to have settled down. I was mid flare the last time

Self medicating safely.
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed last April with microscopic colitis/crohns. After suffering an extreme flareup, I was admitted to hospital where I was put on budesonide, this worked and within a few days I was on the road to recovery. I have had two gastroenterology app'ts since then, and my doctor is happy

Cellcept or Azathioprine
Hi, newbie here. 😊 A blood test back in 2009 confirmed I had PBC, but it took until 2015 and a liver biopsy for a definite diagnosis which also found I had auto immune hepatitis. I was put on Budesonide and Urso, but didn't get on with Urso so stopped taking, a few months later Budesonide was stopped

Hi, I have lots of painful symptoms which can be put down to BD and IBD. However recently I noticed I have a dark moustache, downy hair all over my cheeks and forehead and even hairs growing out the corner of my eyes. Yes it's just cosmetic and nothing compared to ulcers and other pains i have daily

VEDOLIZUMAB FAIL
Has anyone else on here had such debilitating side effects from the above drug that they want to give up. I have had two of the loading injections and since the second there has not been a day in the past 3 weeks that I have felt well. I am constantly exhausted, have an abscess the size of an egg on

Nebulisers
I started with my home nebulisers yesterday, budesonide and ventolin nebules. Since starting I have felt quite nauseous is this normal. My consultant decided to cut short my 6 week preds course as they weren’t helping, so I’m pleased to be off those but now just feel really sick.
