Using Performist

Can anyone tell me about their experience with Performist. I'm hoping to have this added to my med list. One of the things I'd like to know is what to use for a rescue med. Right now I'm on Budesonide and Yupelri and I'm using Albuterol as rescue medication. But I've read that you shouldn't use Albuterol for rescue med when taking Performist.

Hi

Quote

PERFOROMIST Inhalation Solution is a long-acting beta 2-adrenergic agonist (LABA) used to control the symptoms of COPD in adults with COPD.COPD is a chronic lung disease that includes chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or both. PERFOROMIST Inhalation Solution is only for use with a nebulizer.

Perforomist is not a rescue medicine. It will not work fast enough to treat a bronchospasm attack. Use only a fast-acting inhalation medicine.

You be confusing Salmeterol ( another long act inhaler) with Salbutamol a reliever inhaler as in Albuterol.

Share you concerns with your GP for clarity.

I don't understand your answer. I was able to look up and read what you quoted me here on the Performist. I wanted to know from those who use it what they think of it. I have no idea why you referred to this Salmeterol and Salbutamol. As a matter of fact, though, I've always used albuterol as my rescue med, and I've read that I should not use albuterol with Performist, but nowhere did they recommend what to use.

P.S. I just looked these up and apparently Salbutamol is just another name for Albuterol. The Salmeterol seems to be another drug like Performist.

Right now I am on Budesonide and Yupelri and Performist is being added to the mix.

You don't mention what medical condition you have.
