Interesting Article (please read)
came across this article today and would like to know your thoughts: i was swayed by flashy advertising in the late 1990s featuring medical stars like Professor Lord Winston, who convinced me that omega-3 fish oil supplements were essential for my brain and my heart. Fast forward to today, and

Amiriodone & NDT update
So I was put on Amiodarone post heart surgery 3 1/2 weeks ago. I thought it was a three week course but it's not. Now on 200mg per day for the next few months . And yes I think it's messing my thyroid hormones up. I did protest over taking it...due to its high iodine content and contrary indications.

Actinic Keratosis
Good morning from the US of A, Yesterday I received notification from a scalp biopsy I had done last week that the sore on the top of my head is Actinic Keratosis. In researching it I found it is due to ultra violet ray exposure and it is pre cancerous. I mentioned to the Dermatologist that I have been

Can an Ablation make my Paroxysmal AFib worse
I wonder whether someone can help me decide whether to have an ablation or wait Iam 65 and due to have a Pulsed Field Ablation and have justhad my pre procedure nurse interview. I have paroxysmal AFib -usually twice a year -lasting about 8-9 hours which I control with a one off mega dose 300mg

DBS effectiveness.
Was DBS effective in treating your pain, stiffness, dyskinesias? Did it have any affect with freezing? I find myself taking more and more meds, and new treatments are taking to long to get here.

Af vs Ectopic beats
Hi all, This may sound a like a silly question but is it easy to differentiate between AF and PVCs? I’ve had PVCs for several years which sometimes occur only a few times a day and occasionally can be 1000s a day. I’ve recently been diagnosed with PAF but do not experience a racing heart rate and

Tinnitus
Hi everyone. I’ve had tinnitus for about…..I’d say 25 years.? Started in the left (high pitched but ignorable for the most part) but about 4 months ago went over to the right. This one is much more obtrusive and sounds like someone’s hosing down a yard. A real pain in the ass and intuitively I feel that

Alive, with thanks: update on nightmare
Thank you to everyone for replies. I'm still wading through them but trying to avoid spending time on the computer. I survived the weekend. Saturday night was so bad that the only thing that stopped me from ringing 999 overnight was the fear that I would be told there were no ambulances available. I
