8th transfer - meds
So... on day 2 of my cycle. Have been given the go ahead to start my estradiol tablets today. Previous transfers I keep having implantation failure or miscarriages. Someone mentioned it could be that progesterone is too low in my body. Doc has given permission to double up on cyclogest pessaries when

Left arm pain, dull, aching, some dull/sharp central chest pain
Hello, Acutely aware of the stress that NHS is under at the mo and don't want to cause a fuss to find out it's just anxiety. I have dull persistent left arm pain. Occasional central chest pain (between breasts and a little bit into my back) I feel a little bit shaky but that may just be because i'm worried

Has any seen benefits of running on either diabetes t2 or lowering medications?
I am T2 on metformin. Well controlled A1c of 6.4. I am also doing C25k with a hope of losing weight (need to lose 10-13 kgs) and reverse diabetes. Anyone else doing running and seeing benefits? I would appreciate if experiences are shared. TIA

Raised cortisol and prolactin. Could it be due to T3?
Hi I've been taking t4 100mcg + t3 10mcg daily for at least a year now and fairly stable but still struggling with weight, dryness, irregular light periods and after football which I play twice a week when not in lockdown I really struggle with fatigue, brain fog and slow recovery from DOMS and sore

Tingling
Hi there, I was diagnosed hashimotos in December 2020, and put on levothyroxine, I keep getting pins and needles in my hands when I wake up that wakes me up through the night, even when I’m not lying on them, sometimes it’s just one hand but other times it’s both. My dr said could be carpel tunnel but

Lupron or orchiectomy
For economic reasons I am contemplating orchiectomy. I say “contemplating” because, the idea occurred some time ago and I haven’t yet done it. My next orchiectomy “window “ comes up at month’s end when my 3 month Lupron is scheduled. My wife had pretty much talked me into another postponement,

Synergy!
Studies of single drugs, supplements or foods often have limited or poor results. Synergy is an important factor not to be discounted. Those living in the "Blue Zones" that enjoy spectacular health and longevity do so because of lifestyle and diet. It is becoming recognized and accepted that synergy

Metformin - an alternative view.
I posted this video several years ago but some will not have seen it. Generally, when I review the PCa literature on a repurposed drug, I include the negative along with the positive. Typically, my links are from scientific studies published in peer-reviewed journals available on PubMed. If you want

Best Evidence So Far: Metformin Has No Benefit for Prostate Cancer
The highest level evidence so far is consistent. In 2024 we will get a more definitive answer from the STAMPEDE-K trial. https://www.prostatecancer.news/2019/11/metformin-not-for-prostate-cancer.html (edit: Because "levels of evidence" seems to be a difficult concept for many laymen, I added a section

DAPAGLIFLOZIN
After finally stopping canaglifozin due to side effects . Dapagliflozin has now been prescribed at a much lower dosage for my diabetes in its place, which I have been advised also works well for heart failure too. I had a HA which was a year ago 13th November. I am well now happy and I believe healthy

sugar levels up
Hello all, hope everyone is staying safe. Recently my fasting sugar levels and post meal have been going up for no reason I can attribute to. Quick background: I'm 55, male, was diagnosed with Type 2 in 2011 in Singapore (been here since 94). I was given Metformin 500mg and Dimicron XR60 at that time

Should Losartan and Metformin be taken with food to help the Kidneys.
I have CDK stage 2 (65 GFR) and I am taking both Losartan and Metformin for HBP and Diabetes. Based on your experience, does it make any difference for the Kidney's health to take them with food, or do you think is Okay to take them without food? I would appreciate the benefit of your experience.
