Not sure what I feel....
So I have been on Sertraline(50mg) for a month as well as having counseling for a month as my anxiety got to the point where i needed that extra help. I have become better then how I was before having any help, however I am at a point currently where I honestly do not know how I feel, my counselor has

Hi I'm new here
Hi I'm afab but always knew I was different somehow, although it took me at least 20yrs to work out I was not cis and another 10 to come out as nonbinary, specifically bigender. I've started making some social transitions, switching to they/them pronouns as I feel they respect both sides of my gender

Finding approved.. it's happening!
Had a call this week to say that our NHS funding has been approved. I had a scan last week to check on a cyst that they found during my hycosy in May and it had gone. We were expecting to have to wait a bit longer but the consultant was happy to do the funding application as we are almost at 2 years.

Chemotherapy Cycle 1 week3 (Mental health issues)
Well week 3 is almost finished and tomorrow I start Cycle 2. This week I am going to touch on a subject that some of us shy away from and hope I don't upset anyone. Well week 3 started with a few nose bleeds and my psoriatic arthritis came back with vengeance. This is something I hope to discuss with

I am so angry tonight. I had a very frustrating telephone consultation with my GP today who was trying to tell me that the tiredness and muscle aches I am having at the moment is down to being depressed and I need counselling. I have had hypothyroidism for 15 years so think I know when I need a blood

Mental health
I think anxiety is inevitable when it comes to IVF and loss (especially during a pandemic). This sh*t is hard! However I feel like I’ve reached the point (or probably been here for a long time but now come to the realisation rather) than I need further help regarding my mental health through this process

Triangulation and Silent Resentments
Hi, everyone. I'm feeling kinda stuck right now. There's this dynamic in our family where my dad will trash talk my mom to me. For example, recently, he told me she was "way too high-strung" just because she was giving me advice on what to do next in finding a career. Or there was also the time when

How do you cope with infertility?
Hello, I'm really struggling with not being able to conceive and starting counselling next week. How do you cope? It's so hard finding enjoyment in anything, as all I want to do is have a child and be a mum. I have no interest in socialising, exercising or doing anything that would usually bring me happiness

Collective nouns for endocrinologists... and how do I manage the endo man?
Hi - I hope everyone is well. I've run out of patience with my NHS endo. I requested a dose increase by email in early july on the back of my latest test results and endo man said he'd think about it. I chased a week later and apparently the poor chap got seconded to A&E... so I never did get a response

Where do I start?
Sorry in advance for my awkward expression as it is not my first language. But I will try my best to make sense of my situation. I am a mother with 8 year old son. diagnosed with ADHD and Tics last summer. It was hard so broken to see how much he was yelled at / sent to the principal’s office. It

Anxiety
Hello I’m currently going through a very stressful time with treatment for breast cancer. At present I’m waiting for an MRI scan on my brain to check for possible secondaries. It’s been a rollercoaster ride and my anxiety levels are through the roof. I’ve managed so far with counselling but feel I may

Married to a lovely man with severe ADHD and memory issues. Help!
I typed "My husband had ADHD and I think I'm going crazy" into Google search out of pure desperation. This site popped up, so I know that I am not alone. My issue is that he is incredibly forgetful then denies conversations/situations ever happen. It's an unintentional "gaslighting". After 12 years

It’s All Due to the Thyroid: Lessons Learnt From a Patient's Perspective
It's all very well repeating that not everything is due to thyroid but… All too often, continuing symptoms are due to inadequate and/or inappropriate treatment of thyroid issues. When a doctor says something isn't due to thyroid, they need to provide a diagnosis of what is causing it. Saying it is

Depression and anxiety
Hi. I'm new here. I have been experiencing depression for about 30 years now and have had counseling, antidepressants and exercised. I am currently taking an antidepressant. I have had intermittent anxiety episodes for the last 10 years which I have kept somewhat under control with breathing techniques
