Finding approved.. it's happening!

Had a call this week to say that our NHS funding has been approved. I had a scan last week to check on a cyst that they found during my hycosy in May and it had gone. We were expecting to have to wait a bit longer but the consultant was happy to do the funding application as we are almost at 2 years.

So here we go! Waiting for a letter with log in details to do online consents and then first consultation to discuss treatment.

Feeling a bit stressed now as we have been waiting for this for so long and now I'm just scared that it won't work. We only get 1 go on the NHS. But I am hoping that the counselling will help me manage my feelings throughout the treatment.

Great news. Exciting and scary times. We were NHS funded also. We were in a slightly different situation because we required donor sperm. We were successful within our first round, but second transfer if that makes sense. We were 3 years from point of referral to conception. It is crazy.... you wait wait wait .. then all of a sudden stuff happens. It can be overwhelming.. but yes, use the counselling service and use this forum also. It really helped me 😊 good luck. Xx

Thank you! This forum has been so helpful so far. I'd be a lot more scared about the process if I hadn't read so many helpful posts here.

Oh brilliant, I'm so happy for you! After all the waiting it's exciting and scary and overwhelming to finally get the go-ahead but it's also sooo good to finally feel like you're making forward progress.

I remember you saying a while back that you had some additional tests done. Did your husband ever have any more tests done? xx

Thank you! No he didn't get any more tests.. the consultant said DNA fragmentation wasn't worth it. We changed supplements on the recommendation of the doctor though so hoping that will have helped.
