Irisin as a regulator of bone and glucose metabolism
Baseline serum thyroid function tests and presence of thyroid autoantibodies and levels of
creatine
kinase (CK) and irisin were measured in both groups. All measurements in the hypothyroid group were repeated after euthyroidism was achieved.

Supplements
I’ve had BCAAs,
creatine
, beta alanine, calcium, magnesium and omega 3 supplements suggested but I’m not sure whether to bother?! Can anyone recommend anything to aid muscle fatigue? PS I’ve treated myself to a new pair of trailies for my one Year runniversary next Wednesday. Like them?

Movin' on up- 6.5 weeks
My
creatine
is a little higher at 1.01, but that's mostly because I'm having issues keeping enough water in my system. I'm confident it'll go back down as I get used to drinking enough water during the day and night.

Plant Doctor speaks about people stopping being vegan
Also comments on
creatine
, taurine shortages. What make this video stand out is how clear he summarises the case for his style of veganism.

The kidney connection continued
Creatine
94, haemoglobin 142 and ESR 6 complete the test. So I have decided to try and lower my salt and potassium intake and as I already stick to a low sugar diet for diabetes, its proving quite difficult.

Newbie with possible thyroid problems
In Nov 18 my
creatine
kinase was 187 iuL (25.0-200.0) and
creatine
58umol/L (60.0-120.0). I have had many symptoms over the years but always thought it was just part and parcel of getting older or a link to B12D.

2 weeks post transplant!
My
creatine
dropped from over 5.8 to 0.94 in the last two weeks, my phosphorus levels are actually way too low so I'm taking supplements and am required to eat a high phosphate item with every meal. Potassium is a little low, but they're having me get that in through food as well.

Is anyone else atypical ?
I've been checked for ankylosing spondylitis and tested for myositis and myopathy because my
creatine
kinase was ' moderately elevated' , although the sample was taken as an afterthought by my GP whilst I was already on 30mg prednisone .

CKD and Insomnia
I am CKD 3 Last lab GFR 57
Creatine
1.24 BUN 14 I take iron supplements for anemia. I don’t want to attribute every single medical condition to my CKD, however it’s hard not to. I sleep about 6 hours a night, then I wake up. I will fall back to sleep after an hour or so. It’s frustrating.

New guy here
I have taken Amino Acids, Beef Liver Tablets and
Creatine
over the last month, but I am unsure if these supplements are risky to be taking or not. These supplements have helped me gain some strength back and I lost some fat, but I have also noticed some of my urinary side effects have returned.

New here but had CKD since 2011
My
Creatine
was 1.3 and now it is 1.66. One thing I realized the doctor never told me to fast for 12 hours before taking the blood test, so I'm thinking maybe it was an error? And taking ACV does have potassium which is not good for CKD.
