Day 50!
I made it to 50! I have never made it this far. Had a total meltdown this weekend over a compilation of things yet I was still able to tell myself that a cigarette wouldn't help. I have ditched Champix completely at this point, so completely chemical free. Well, except for coffee. I can't give up

Will have to start again 🙈😤
Today I flipped my lid and decided to have 4 roll-ups. I couldn't stand the weight gain or bloated stomach with horrendous smelly gas any longer. So I cut the champix down to 1 at night for a few weeks. Then still furious with the weight gain I decided to completely stop the champix 6 days ago. And

Six weeks smoke free tomorrow
Well I've done nearly six weeks no smoking and I still don't miss it. No side effects to speak of although the weight is piling on....lol. I have just over a month left on champix I'll start weaning off in the next two weeks. So, do I recommend champix? Most definitely. Absolutely brilliant

Day 12 of champix....still smoking
I am on Day 12 of champix. I'm still waiting for champix to kick in? I've noticed in the past few days that I am smoking less was on between 20-25 cigarettes a day and am not making more conscious decisions of actually having one so has reduced to between 15-20. My quit day is day 14 *start of lent

I'm a Newbie
Hi There, My name is William and I'd like to say hello to all you people who have so much in common with each other and with myself. Smoking...or rather the cessation of it. I have had a few half hearted attempts before which never really lasted more than a day or two at the most. I have read Allen Carr's

Stopping with champix
Hi all hope this helps. Ive smoked 30 a day for over forty years. I've quit twice properly with champix in the past several years. They do work and how they do this is by blocking nicotine receptors in your brain from getting nicotine hit. So no reward chemicals for smoking on them. What I've learnt

Day 21 of no smoking.......
Well I've made it to day 21, 3 weeks of no smoking and still doing great. Loving the Champix and the weird dreams, no cravings, no cough, a little less energy than last week but so far so good. Hubby still smoking but I don't notice it. He's definitely cut down. Bit concerned I won't want to come off

Champix, quitting and life
Hey folks So apart from the odd post when the lovely Roisin reminds me of a milestone, I’ve been pretty absent here. I thought I would just update you all on my progress in the hopes it helps someone on their journey. So this time I quit on the Champix. While I was taking it I experienced breathlessness

Is it OK to stop taking Champix on day 10?
I started on 1 mg dose as my doctor advise so on my 1st day I smoke 3 cigg. then on 2nd day i smoked 1 cigg. only and never smoked after that, lately I feel like i don't need to take the pills because of the side effects of Champix like nausea. so Is it OK to stop taking Champix on day 10? or should

Today I have not smoked for 13 days!
I am utterly amazed that I've actually done it, not smoked for 13 days! Work was a breeze, in fact it was really nice to sit inside to have my breaks. On my first day back I did go outside to be with my colleagues who smoke, just sat there watching them smoke and felt nothing, I did that once. Since

1 day smoke free, day 7 champix
Hi everyone I have good news I haven't smoked for the last 24 hours. I had no cravings overall just a slight feeling of unusuality. I'm very excited of what's to come and my motto is not one PUFF EVER. NOPE Can't wait to be weeks and months. Good luck everyone lets keep on going.

Day 15 Champix.........Day 5 smoke free
Well here's my daily champix update....... Still no side effects as long as I take it with food and still sleeping like a proverbial baby. I do miss the action of smoking, every now and again I go to reach for the bacci and remember I don't smoke, its odd...lol. I can't believe its been this easy, but

CHAMPIX
No nicotine now for 76 days - Freedom Delighted that I’m now on the tail end of my prescription. Just taking one in the morning for another couple of days and then finished. It still seems strange not lighting up but hopefully that will disappear in time.

Champix day 14 ............. 3 days smoke free
Still no side effects as such, but constipation, is that normal? Haven't been for days, reluctant to use laxatives as they can send me the other way. I drink tons of water and black tea all day so I'm not dehydrated, if anything I'm probably a wee bit too hydrated...lol Its not a problem at the moment
