I can't believe I've reached 5 months smoke free today and I don't really think about smoking anymore. For those struggling I know how hard it is but you have to want to stop, for me my last chest infection was the last straw. I knew I had to stop and I am still trying to regain some lung capacity by walking daily the breathlessness is still with me and from reading stuff could take upto 9 months to regain some capacity back but I have COPD so I might not regain capacity it will be wait and see. To help me quit I used Tabex instead of champix and was really surprised that they worked so I didn't have side effects. Anyone trying to quit please stick with it. It will be the best thing you can do for your Copd.

Hi Jake25 really well done, I agree it's hard giving up but if you want it enough you will do it. I gave up nearly ten year ago and fonymiss it at all. You should be so proud of yourself. Have a lovely day and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx
Well done Jake, I know it is a struggle to give up, having tried and failed many times before I actually succeeded about 28 years ago. Unfortunately the damage had already been done to my lungs and I now have COPD, but luckily it's not too severe. Take care and stay safe.
Well Done Jake25, keep it up and I am sure you will improve. Thank you for the advice to other members. I have been smoke free now for 15 years. So join the club one day at a time is the motto.
Hi captainIt is the hardest thing to do and there's not enough help out there. Everytime I went to the Dr's with chest infection he would give me a card to ring the helpline and that's it, it would just be in my bag and then I would forget about it. Smoking is as addictive as any other substance in my opinion yet there's no rehab why? Probably because of the tax. This time I quit myself a Polish friend told me about tabex so I ordered it and never looked back. I hope you do manage to quit please never give up on trying good luck.
It's a plant based tablet which has been used in Eastern Europe for over 50 years. Its the same principle as champix but without the side effects. When my friend told me that this is what they used. I googled for all the information I could find. I decided to give it a go and I quit using these tablets over 2 months.
