Dexamethasone Reactions?
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had any experience of having done the Dexamethasone suppression test? I've got a it arranged for next week but I'm slightly nervous about having it done. This is really down to the fact that so far I haven't had an actual diagnosis and no doctors know what's wrong

FND, adrenal issues?
This is my first post here so please bear with me. I have been diagnosed with FND but researching the adrenals over the years as this has come up a few times. I don't seem to find I fit into the category of Addison's or Cushing's and I've come up negative on both. I'm not sure I fully buy into the adrenal

Diagnosis of Pagets Disease
The PA that diagnosed me got me in to see a Primary Doc the next day to have my knee injected with
cortisone
. I had a lot of questions by the next day and was asking the primary Doctor questions and he was not answering me. So I said I have looked up Pagets Disease and I have a lot of questions.

Starting Adrenal Cortex, jittery feeling
Hello, I've been taken yesterday (for the first time), 1pill x Thornes adrenal cortex at 10am and my usual thyroid hormones at 7am. After I swallowed I felt like I need more air ( similar to drinking too much coffee) but in the rest of the day I felt better than other days . I'm not sure if I can tolerate

why does my heart beat so loud?
Hi, I have m.e/cfs - please don't tell me I don't it's just insulting - and have experimented with all sorts of different ways of treating my hypothyroidism, low cortisol and m.e. At the moment I have found 85mcgs T3 plus one quarter of a grain of NDT (last thing at night helps with sleep) is the best

Cortisol interpretation?
Saliva cortisol results were very top of normal range for morning and afternoon, and significantly above normal range for evening and night. How does this fit with TSH 12.6 and T4 12.9? I understand how low cortisol may be associated with hypo thyroid but not high? I guess it explains a bit why I'm awake

Frustrated
Used to use
cortisone
injections but have had to stop due to it effecting diabetes. I'm so upset with fighting for pain management and being made to feel as though I am a drug addict! Even if that were true, I would still be deserving of pain management!

BREATHLESS
A while ago I posted that I was feeling breathless after doing very little, even just walking up the stairs and I asked for some advice. It was suggested that I get some blood tests done, including my FT3 and so I had a private blood test done through Blue Horizon. I am currently taking 125 mg of T4

Intal
I have found that the usual treatment (
Cortisone
inhalers and Singulair and Albuteral) does not give me all the relief I need. There used to be a medication on the market called Intal. Apparently a lot of people did not find it helpful, but I found it tremendously helpful.

Fed Up with Hypothyroidism...
I recently had
cortisone
injections in my back - but it seems to have made my back worse. I am really struggling to cope with the fatigue and the crippling pain that I am in every day.

Help with test results
Hi everyone, I posted the following results last week and now have B12 and folate results back: B12: 335 (180-914) Folate: 4.3 (3.1-20) From what I read it is not optimal? Any advise on supplement I should be taking and dosage? Do I need to do anything else in terms of tests or supplements? I have started

In the end it was simple – unable to convert any T4, needed T3 only; the
cortisone
was simply supporting me as I was sub clinically hypo.

Stem cell injection as pain management
Anti-inflammatory drugs made me feel quite ill and I did not like the increased speed of degeneration associated with
cortisone
injections.
