interesting article on low cortisol and what to do about it
I found this article about low cortisol both interesting and unconventional, in that it advocates high doses of HC (40-60 mg daily) in persons taking DHEA and thyroid hormone. I have read about Plenadren, but I have no idea if it's readily available yet. It seems great, as it contains slow-release cortisol

Blood test results - now even more confused
I have also done the Genova Adrenal Stress Profile test but am still waiting for the results, will post them separately when they arrive. Currently taking 2.25 grains Nature Throid at bedtime, at least 3 hours after any food. Increased from 2 grains nearly two months ago. I did the BH Thyroid Plus

Illogical advice from GP
Further to the recent saga over my blood test results, I have just had a follow-up appointment with my GP. The tests for celiac and serum cortisol came back within range - they were tested in case my low in-range folate levels* were due to malabsorption or overt stress - and she commented that my bloods

Introduction to me and my newly found Liver probs.
I have read
cortisone
injections can cause fatty liver. I had two 6 weeks ago in two of my joints. Could these have elevated things? I trained sat/sun/mon/tue and had bloods weds. Could this be the cause of the high ALT? There is no out of range AST or ALP.

Cortisone injections
I have recently had an injection in my shoulder, and have been feeling hyper ever since(five days). Settled down during the day mostly, but still not sleeping at night. Is this known to affect hypo people? I am sure one of you good people will know

What happens after "normal" short synacthen test?
My daughter had short synacthen test as she has very low cortisol (200 - normal range is over 400) and diagnosis of CFS following glandular fever. This test was normal so I'm assuming this means her adrenals are ok. Does this mean there's a problem with the pituitary gland? Can anyone advise whether

Hot and cold sweats
She has had three
cortisone
steroid injection. On methotrexate and hydrocloquine. In 8 weeks we will know if mtx is working as it is the steroids that are doing the job just now. She has been suffering from hot and cold sweats. Is this a sign of ra or the Meds.

Pudendal pain ?
Cortisone
cream. All the time the burning sensation in both areas is getting worse. I had a spinal scan last year which showed a spondylolisthesis and a generally tatty spine......but I am 72 ! Where should I go from here. Ten minute GP appointments just don't do it.

My visit to the Rheumatologist..OMG!!!
When the doctor allowed me to say a few words, here and there, i explained that my symptoms of pain, started with the onset of a rapid weight gain and severe insomnia at the same time diagnoses with Pituitary damage, abnormally low Cortisol results and Hashimoto's Disease. I had not been properly evaluated

Any recommended private endos in London who acknowledge adrenal fatigue?
Hello. I already have the email recommendation list from Thyroid UK but need a recommendation from patients. I'm looking for an endo that will treat low cortisol and DHEA. Thanks.
