The Plot Thickens…
My Osteopath gave me a private doctor’s contact details so I could see them for a
cortisone
injection. I had the appointment this morning and it turned out to be a breath of fresh air. His bedside manner was so nice. He listened properly!

My mother’s PSP , an update
Today the nurse told me that they gave her
cortisone
because they suspect adrenal insufficiency. One doctor told me that he is expecting all these changes from her disease condition. I am really confused what is happening to my mother? Is it all from her PSP condition

I don’t know what to do!!!
Well today was the follow up and it was not a good visit the medicine is not helping and since I have done
cortisone
shots (previously in my knees never worked) she basically told me my next option is a total hip replacement.

GP said could be
cortisone
injection adding to things due to possible suppressed immune system. I did have test early am before thyroine but I had a cup of tea an hour before and took 10 mgs propranolol. I forgot this time to not take medication or eat or drink before test.

She may need
cortisone
shots or surgery for it but before taking that leap just wondering if it is fixable by thyroid.

TSH rising inexplicably
Between 2011 and 2015 I explored every possible treatment, nutrition, herbs, alternative medicine (you name it I’ve applied it including LDN,
cortisone
etc) etc in an attempt to recover from being bed ridden.

FLARE at 5.25mg??
And of course trying to get off of the
Cortisone
. I was convinced that the PMR was in total remission. But about 3 plus weeks ago I got really sore shoulders and figured it was the way I was sleeping. Then the muscles in my neck starting hurting both sides - so stiff.

Has anyone had to have a
cortisone
injection and if so, were there any issues during or after the injection? Thanks

Deathly Fatigue?
As I am still on seven and a half mgs of pred which I understood to be around the physiological dose the body needs for its
cortisone
supplies, isn't this a bit early to be experiencing DF?

What's going on?
He confirmed bursitis, gave me 2 shoulder
cortisone
shots which did help. Both GP and rheumatologist (and me) all wanted me off predisone as it doesn't work with fibromyalgia. Started tapering and off all prednisone now for a month.

newbie here cortisol injection and lymphodema
Last December I suddenly couldn’t put any weight on my right leg and after months of different professionals looking at it , I was finally diagnosed with arthritis in my right knee. 2 weeks ago after being in horrendous pain when trying to walk, I was given a
cortisone
injection in my right knee.

Help needed -- direction of travel
The right shoulder has been managed by a
cortisone
( I think ) injection into the right shoulder joint on 1 April 2022. Bliss - until now. My massive problem now is my left shoulder - producing pain .... beyond what I thought was possible.

Rheumatologist appt
Gave me 2
cortisone
injections into shoulders and will refer me to a physio. He at this point doesn't think I have any autoimmune issues. Confirmed to taper off prednisone at 1mg every 3 days and when I get to 5 mg to drop by 1mg every month.

advice needed re sick caretaker
Aches, soreness and stiffness everywhere, can’t sleep either, It’s going to be awhile before he’s up and at em again, doc gave him
cortisone
injection, we’re hoping it will kick in and he can ditch the crutches soon. In the meantime, do I tough it out?

First IVIG infusion
Dr did say since I have had past reactions to drugs and haveany allergies, he would have me take benadryl, Tylenol and
cortisone
before infusion. I've been on W&W for almost 7 years and I can't say im not concerned/anxious about starting ivig this coming Tuesday 8/8.
