Cortisone injection
I had a steroid injection in my knee today which was very painful to say the least! It hasn’t started to work yet but the doctor said it could take a few hours or overnight to start working. If anyone here has had the injection can you let me know if it helped and how long it lasted. I don’t mind

Why does Endo say ACTH test is not relevant wouldn't a low result indicate secondary Addisons?
I recently had a SST due to low cortisol. The endo said my results were good and discharged me without discussing them with me. I wrote to him to ask for ACTH blood test because they didnt test this when i had my SST but he has refused. See attached letter. I really don’t understand this response particularly

Advice for a cortisol newbie please!
Hello gang, Hope you’re all keeping safe, well and sane! I was hoping to enlist your help with my recent cortisol results from Regenerus, particularly re: next steps as this is where my knowledge falls down. Hopefully the attached results are legible but I can always type out if needs be. My general

Dermatitis and Cortisone

Is Adrenavive only for people with low cortisol?
I ask because after doing a saliva cortisol test I found out mine is high. I have anxiety all the time and I'm usually always feeling cold, and fatigued. Has anyone had success with adrenal extracts, and is what they say about adrenal extracts true, - with regards to it stopping adrenal function? Thank

Pudendal nerve block injection.
Has anyone had a pudendal nerve block injection with
cortisone
? I am due to have one but no doctor/physio has given me a diagnosis of my pelvic pain, so I don't know why I have pain. I am very nervous about having the procedure in case it makes the pain worse.

Blood test results - adrenal insufficiency?
I have received more blood test results and I wonder if anyone can shed any light on the results. I have formerly been diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency and it looks possible again from the results? Serum cortisol 9am 267nmol/L (150 - 600) Lab have added 'Reference range refers to 9am cortisol and

Stress and a Short Synathcen Test
Hi, I saw my new pituitary specialist on Friday who surprisingly offered me a Short Synathcen Test for suspected low cortisol. I had a cortisol test recently and it was normal. I have just realised that fasting for the test was not recommended, and I had had no coffee or food overnight. Before my

Anxiety on metavive is it a sign of overmedication or crashed adrenals?
Hi community, I started metavive 20 days ago Increasing Dosis every 5 days. Nothing special happened. When I reached the dose of *2 metavive pro (120mg) + 2 meta 2* I started experiencing some anxiety and Strong heartbeat ( not quicker heartbeat but stronger) So I backed up to 1 meta pro + 1

Has anyone else noticed hormone requirement changing once you reach end-stage Hashimoto´s?
I expected to required T3 and T4 at this stage, but not only do I only seem to require T4, but also lower doses now than 20 years ago when I was diagnosed. Back then, an ultrasound showed my thyroid gland was of normal size, but that there was already extensive damage to the hormone-producing cells.

Help and advice please!
I have had PMR for 6 and a half years, with GCA after two years. Nearly 3 years ago I managed to reduce Pred. to 3.5mgs with a small amount of returning pain. I then had a rheumatologist appointment and was told that according to blood test results, PMR was gone and the pain and fatigue I was experiencing

Adrenal fatigue
Hi I was on
cortisone
for a long time as a child and a number of times as an adult. I had Ulcerative Colitis. I have a lot of problems which I think are as a result of taking them. I suspect I have adrenal insufficiency because I’m so fatigued a lot of the time.

A little positivity ...
It’s been an ongoing sage with my Rheumatologist convinced it was bursitis and giving me two
cortisone
needles into the bursa on two occasions, each only working for 2 blissful weeks.

Surgery after knee replacement
My new orthopedic has done a round of medication for swelling and on last visit did (very hesitantly) a
Cortisone
shot all to no avail. I am 2 weeks out from that shot and I still have swelling. His next move is possible synovectomy which I am really wondering if it will help.
