My wife, 68, was diagnosed with PD seven years ago. In the forty years we've been together, she's had outbreaks of dermatitis, often on the back of her neck, and treated it with topical cortisone. Is dermatitis very common with Parkinson's and could there be a link between PD and cortisone treatments?

Dermatitis and Cortisone
Is Grovers disease a result of Parkinson’s
Its the other way round - Parkinsons often leads to outbreaks of seborrheic dermatitus as it can increase the activity of sebaceous glands. A lot of Parkinsons non-motor symptoms occur in advance (prodromal) of movement symptoms. You need to use anti-fungals to control it (can't be cured). bad.org.uk/for-the-public/p...
Kevin51 is right. Having suffered psoriasis on my hands and arms from age 7 until about age 35 I used a lot of steroid ointments. Then I discovered propolis cream by forever living products. Don't let the fact its distribution is via network marketing put you off. You can buy it retail. I strongly recommend it
It's the part of the disease. Cortisone ointment should be applied with care as where ever it touches the skin, it creates eczema like patches and the skin irritates. It is better to apply simple coconut oil with Aloe Vera to avoid irritation and the further spread of the disease
