I've had an idea
I didn't think of it at the time but wouldn't a better alternative be to continue reducing the oral pred and have a local
cortisone
injection where it's needed? That would seem preferable to methatroxate.

Adrenal glandulars
So I got my first ever bovine adrenal cortex (BSE-free) supplement delivered today in the post and took half a capsule (125mg) just before. FYI, I did a private 8.30am serum cortisol test via Medichecks recently: 323 nmol/l (133 - 537). That was a finger prick blood sample, so not the most accurate

My proof that Stress gives Hashi Flare + Low Cortisol
I had considered myself 'more or less' healed earlier this year, after 36 years or so of feeling utterly revolting. Then I had to move - vile millionaire landlord gave me notice after 8 years and I had to move within 6 weeks. So, decorating & scrubbing house to get my full deposit back. Then I managed

Please could anyone give me an idea as to how much Adrenal Cortex/

Cold, Allergy or non-allergic rhinitis?
Luckily, symptomatic treatment is about the same regardless: Old (type 1) antihistamines, decongestants & OTC
cortisone
nasal spray. And it was over in 3-4 days!

Should I persevere with NDT or trial T3 monotherapy?
Hi, I have been self treating with NDT for 17 months. I increased my dose very gradually up to 3.25 grains. There were slight improvements in my energy and brain fog initially but I have not seen the improvement that I need to allow me to function or have a quality of life. I am considering a trial of

Anxiety and depression
Has anyone developed panic attacks and depression when they have got down to 6mg. Lovely doc has given me lorazapam which really helps. My problem is do I continue reducing .....using the very slow method or stay as I am for a few more weeks. Could the depression and panic attacks be caused by low cortisol

Synacthen test and supplements
Hi I’ve got Hashimotos and seeing an endo next month due to low cortisol. My GP said he’ll do the synacthen test (I’ve only had the 9am blood test). I’m currently taking Levo, vitamin D, K, B complex, C, magnesium and selenium. Does anyone know if I need to drop these supplements (minus the levo), for

Whiplash causing Hypothyroid and Adrenal Fatigue
I am curious to know if anyone has developed thyroid or adrenal issues following a car accident. I walked away from 2 shunts at 70mph with whiplash. I have seen chiropractor physio acupuncturist and kinesiologist to heal rather than pain meds. I have low cortisol levels - adrenal fatigue and have 80%

Cortisone, local anaesthetic and PV
Hi Guys, I received
cortisone
jabs with local anaesthetic last Thursday and Friday into my wrist and hip to combat inflammation due to osteoarthritis. I normally do react with a raised temp, flushed face, sweats and pain at the site of the injection.
