Hello, I've ordered some tests from Medi checks for blood cortisol, blood Adrenal Antibodies and blood Dhea. I am going to my local hospital Monday to have the blood drawn and to send the samples off. My question is do I have to go in the morning as I'm sure I've read somewhere cortisol blood test has to be taken before 9am? There is no time limit stated on the test kit. Ty

You are correct. It has to be taken at the earliest. This is a link:

As confirmed by shaws you must have your blood drawned before 9 am. So go to hospital in good time in case you have to wait a longish time before your blood can be taken.

May I ask you whether your local hospital blood clinic was willing to draw your blood although the tests were not requested by an NHS GP? Did you have to pay? Did you phone them in advance to check whether they would be prepared to do it?

I would be interested to know. Thank you if you feel able to reply.

I ordered the test through medi checks. I paid them for the test, they have send me the blood viles and needles, I go to my local hospital which has a blood collecting service for medichecks. Once the blood is drawn I then post it back to them and they test the blood and forward me results.

Hello arjs1973,

Thanks for replying. I was not aware Medichecks have a blood collective service in NHS hospitals. That's useful to know.
