When is the best time to increase my NDT meds, during Adrenal Recovery

Can anyone help me regarding knowing when you have enough adrenal support in you to increase your NDT ?

I find it difficult to judge as I tried a month ago to increase my NDT by a 1/4 grain and after three weeks I got night time palpitations each night. So I stopped the 1/4 gn and the palpitations ceased. Since then I have increased my Nutri Adrenal by another 50mg.

However I'm quite hypo and would like to be able to increase the NDT again, but unsure as to whether the time is right.

Please could anyone give me an idea as to how much Adrenal Cortex/Cortisone they were taking when they started to increase their NDT ?

I currently take 175mg Nutri Adrenal, plus 100mg Thorne Adrenal Cortex.

I'm sorry you've still had no replies. Perhaps you could try increasing dose NDT again now you're increased NutriAdrenal.

Thanks for replying Clutter, I must admit I was upset when I noticed I didn't have any replies. I know it's a very difficult subject to deal with and there are no guidlines anywhere ! And getting the balance right is sometimes "like swimming in the dark".

I have just started to have another go at raising my NDT . But I think I've also discovered that if you raise both the adrenal cortex as well as the NDTat the same time you can feel very very unwell.

It would be lovely if Thyroid UK could get a knowledgeable doctor to give us some advice through the Harmony magazine ?
