Chemo may be helping
Hi Fellow Fighters, Prior to my third round of Taxotere last Friday, I had blood work done. After 2 rounds, my PSA dropped 4.7 points. TBH, I feel like crap today, but the results are promising. My blood work also showed low cortisol levels, how concerned should I be about that? Thanks.

Help needed -- direction of travel
I am an active 79 year old located down in the pointy end of Cornwall, UK. I have led a healthy life except for the onset of Atrial Fibrillation at 65 (2010) and at 71 (2015), the onset of osteoarthritis in right knee. This is now just beginning to affect left knee but is all manageable at this stage

Low cortisol, low T3 results-pls advise, terrified I’ll have to stop work as just exhausted
hi.. I’m on levo 100mg for at least a year now, been diagnosed hypothyroid for 2 years I think. . Had these tests done privately dec 2023. Previous test a year before saw lower TSH - seemed to have climbed up, and higher T3 than before. I haven’t shown to GP yet- partly cos just depressed and exhausted

cortisol and oestrogen is there a link?
i’m a complicated case, but curious about hrt and cortisol. Don’t want to bore anyone with full history, in a nutshell. Hashimoto 2018, Graves 2021. Off all meds currently, but six months ago started body identical hrt. My cortisol is now 160 at 9am. Does oestrogen cause low cortisol, or should i get

Has anyone retested their cortisol levels whilst using adrenal glandular supplements and seen any improvement?
I've been taking adrenal glandular for 4 months, recent serum cortisol shows no improvement than before, is it too soon? Wondering if I should do another saliva cortisol? I feel better for taking it so loathed to stop.... maybe I should give it longer?

Dr Conway + Dr Adamson and low cortisol
Hi, I am yet to start treatment for Hashimoto's, and with abysmally low cortisol, am now unsure how to go ahead because it seems as though it makes things more difficult. Has anyone with cortisol issues seen either Dr Georgina Conway (the Thyroid Clinic) or Dr Karen Adamson (endocrinologist in Edinburgh

Cytoxin Storm prevention?
I'm a lymphoma survivor, and I get horrible rashes all over my body(mostly on delicate areas like knees, elbows, face, and neck) periodically. I'm wondering if this can be prevented by anything possible. I'm on active treatment now, but these skin rashes occurred when I was Watchful Wait too. I know

Regenerus cortisol results - help interpreting
Hi, got my Regenerus cortisol and DHEA results back (only took a week so very quick). I'd expected low cortisol, but it's a bit more than I thought. DHEA just in range. Surprised that night cortisol was in range, but then it probably used to be very high. I had a period of about 7 years of extreme stress

FLARE at 5.25mg??
Hi all, I have been in Australia for almost a year and have been doing very well lately. I have steadily been reducing SLOWLY. No flares that I can remember for a very very long time. My Mast Cell Activation Syndrome / Histamine Intolerance / Multiple Chemical Sensitivity issues have been my struggle

Female hormones results
Hello all, I've just got my female hormone results back. As expected, they're less than stellar! Edit to add: these were taken on Day 4 and I usually only have a 3 day bleed with a day or 2 of spotting. So I'm looking at low cortisol, high DHEA, unstable thyroid results, and now perimenopause? Does

What's going on?
Hi, just a recap...was diagnosed with PMR early this year by GP, (am 48 yrs) started on 30 mg prednisone then tapered down, increased pain so back to 30 mg again. Also had numerous bloods, ultrasounds, x rays, ct scan which showed bursitis in both hips and shoulders. GP referred to rheumatologist. He

Some advice please
Hi, I'm in surgical menopause and have not felt 'well' for a number of years now. I won't bore you with the backstory of my trials and tribulations with HRT, all in the pursuit of feeling well enough to fully function. I've questioned Thyroid for some time, I had tests last September and posted them

Does anybody else suffer chronic bone pain during the night ?
Despite my many autoimmune conditions nobody has thought to check my pitituitary gland. I cant help wonder if I have low cortisol levels or something like addisons's disease. I do have an endocrinologist who I shall be seeing at the end of this month and will request to be screened. Although my endocrinologist

Morning blood cortisol test, is it worth it?
Hello everyone, I'm planning on doing an Ultimate Performance blood test with Medichecks to look at a whole range of things. Particularly I'm interested in the thyroid values as it will be a 6 week follow up to my pervious one and I want to see if anything has changed. I'm undiagnosed and unmedicated
