I am coming up on the 1 year anniversary of my HA. I am only supposed to take the Ticagrelor for 12 months after my stent was fitted, but am now starting to worry a little. Is it OK for my GP to confirm that it is OK to stop taking it or should I try and get an appointment with a cardiologist.
I would be interested in hearing other peoples experiences of this change in medication.

I've no experience with this drug, but if I'm unsure about medication, I would put a question into my GP Practice. Just ask through the NHS App messaging or leave a message with GP Practice reception (probably no need for an appointment?).
I would have thought the GP will be able to confirm and/or if necessary consult with the Cardiologist and remove any worry? My Practice is pretty good at responding in this way.
I agree with most of the replies. In most cases you stop after a year But as lowerfield says never take unqualified advice. A call to your GP would be advised
