Female. Longstanding much worsening PAF, and recently diagnosed ischaemic heart disease.
Just home from hospital from an episode variously described as a heart attack and acute coronary syndrome - no idea what the difference is.
I understand the AF is a separate entity that needs treating as such.
Angiogram last Monday showed up severe occlusion of right coronary artery (between 75% and 94%) and a stent was inserted after 4 failed attempts to insert balloon. All other arteries clear.
Since the angioplasty I have continued to have intermittent chest pain - this always happens during AF, but this is happening independently of the AF episodes.
This morning I have also developed a white lump tracking along the artery in the midst of the (rather spectacular) bruising. It is not at the puncture site but further up the forearm.
Any thoughts or ideas to offer on the above two points?
Lots of thanks.

Thanks - seeing cardiology nurse on Tuesday and hope to discuss it all. Still getting chest pain and lots of AF. The cocktail of drugs I am now on are causing lots of side effects - notably lethargy and numbness, mainly in legs.
I know these medications can give so many side effects and not always easy to cope with but not long to wait till your appointment and you can mention this to her
I hope it goes well and I hope you will let us know how you het on x
Thank you. I find it all very hard to deal with as I live alone now - and my late husband was a doctor - I always had medical reassurance "on tap" at home!
I am sorry you are on your own that must make things difficult and the fact your late Husband was a Doctor must have been a real reassurance for you I can only imagine how much you must miss him
I hope that appointment will give you some reassurance not long now to wait
Have you any friends and family you can talk to I do hope so I really hope even if not as much as your Husband could give you have some kind of support
Look forward to reading your update after you have been x
