If they think it's musculoskeletal what have they suggested for this?
Could you ask for a referral to a physiotherapist or musculoskeletal clinic to determine the cause & hopefully, if not a cure, then ways to help ease the symptoms?
l agree with Lezzers and you should be referred to the appropriate clinic to help you with this. I have not had a stent fitted, but l get these symptoms from acid reflux and indigestion. It may not be the same for you, but just a thought. Hope you soon feel better.
another way, if it’s musculoskeletal, is to refer yourself to your musculoskeletal unit locally (a bit quicker than going to them via the doc.)
Also, have a look a Versus Arthritis
I get this and have done for years before heart problems it's either muscul skeletal or acid reflux both of which I have. Physio helps
Hello,
This is my first ever post. I noticed yours and thought I'd reply.
I had a quadruple bypass last October, they tried to do five grafts, but one artery was impossible to graft.
Anyway, when I went back to see my surgeon 6 weeks later, he asked how I was feeling and I said fine, apart from on exertion, I got a burning sensation between my shoulder blades. He said he suspected it was musculoskeletal, but just to be safe, he scheduled me in for a CT angiogram, which I got in December. It took a couple of months for the results and it turns out I had early graft failure in my LV branch. All my bloods have been fine.
Since then I've been put back on Elantan slow release until I see my cardiologist next month, he's already suggested I may need a stent in the area that the graft has failed. But I've also been told I'll likely need a heart transplant in the future as it seems to be genetic and will get worse again over time.
Hope everything works out,
Stewart
Ps. My surgeon before my CT angiogram, suggested that if I got the burning sensation, I should take a spray of GTN and if it relieved it, it was likely cardiac related. I did and it relieved it, as does the Elantan.
