Low iron. Raised Hb1ac
Has anyone suffered from low iron levels post HA and stent. GP friend of mine suggested anti coagulation medication could be reason. Also rising Hb1ac despite losing nearly one and half stone in weight.

Hey all, I'm new to the forum and am glad to see that there are other people out there to share this with. I've had a stent placed 5 weeks ago and am having a wee bit of a hard time coming to terms with the ups and downs after treatment. The worst thing would be the chest pains mixed up with nausea and

Irbesartan or Co-diovan? whats best post stent and common side affects
Hi all, I have taken Irbesartan for 10+ and I guess I wont be the first to suspect my BP med is 'to blame' for a number of ills, fatigue, muscle weakness and routinely low red blood cells in the main, all are listed as possible side effects. I appreciate all meds can have side effects and without

Lack of appetite and dizzy in the morning.
Good morning all. I had a heart attack 5 weeks ago and have had a stent placed to open up a 50% blocked artery. The problem I'm having now is that my appetite is terrible and when I wake up in the morning I'm feeling very weak and dizzy. Does anyone else out there have the same symptoms as it's driving

Unintentional weight loss
Hi all. My mum is 77 had a heart attack and heart failure 4 months ago. She’s just on medication as they couldn’t put a stent in. Anyway her recovery has been slow but she’s getting there. My main concern is that she’s lost weight without trying and she certainly doesn’t need to lose any. She’s only

Dealing with muscle pain
I'm almost 9 weeks in from having a stent fitted and am on aspirin and clopidogrel. I'm having a number of issues, one is the more common muscle pain. I've had it in my chest, and for the last few days it's been in my lower back and groin. I've tried ticagrelor as an alternative but I was not able to

Clopidogrel
Hi, I had a heart attack and one stent fitted 5 years ago, and since have kept well. My GP has just done a medication review and has noticed i have been on clopidogrel for 5 years. She has been in touch with the cardiologist who says my notes say i should have been on them for 12 months only then

20 Month Update
I've passed 20 months since diagnosis, and am also two weeks since my last chemo infusion and a week since my urinary stent was changed. It's been a rough month, and a CT scan later this week will determine the future course of my treatment. Read the full version at my blog: https://tominmotion.blogspot.com

Support for my father, North Yorkshire - anxiety and no rest.
Hi my father came out of hospital two days ago after his stent failed and they inserted a balloon. Is there a support group near Richmond North Yorkshire? I feel anxiety is an issue for him and resting at home is hard. He was out of hospital then next day due to covid risks and we didn't have a proper

HIIT
Anyone else doing HIIT? I am 4 months into recovery from HA and stent, I have been following the cardio rehab exercise programme and have been doing level 5 for a while. My general fitness level is very good and blood pressure is normal. I want to up the level of workout but I’m unsure if HIIT is safe

Has anyone on here had pressure test on stents done and did it hurt. As I had it done on my stents and it really hurt and I've still got the after effects 10 months since it was done. The test was done in the LAD where I had a stent put inside another stent. Any advice would be great as it's made my

Should I have more Chemo now?
My urologist confirmed that while the PCa nodes in my bladder have shrunk, they are still obstructing my ureter. Therefore, instead of removing my stent, he replaced it. So, I finished 6 Docetaxel sessions 4 weeks ago and as I'm responding to the Chemo, Eligard and Casodex, I'm considering 4 more chemo
