Has anyone suffered from low iron levels post HA and stent. GP friend of mine suggested anti coagulation medication could be reason. Also rising Hb1ac despite losing nearly one and half stone in weight.

I have the same issue, I just had it checked and just of dual antiplatlets which stopped a week before the blood test and it's a little low, reading was 377 where as normal levels are 400 and above if I recall without looking and I was getting very tired moments, it was suggested that I staet taking iron supliments and eating food high in iron which I have been doing and I have been feeling less tired and will be re checking in about 2 months.

I too experienced a drop in iron levels. I had to under go pointless endoscopy and gastroscopy examinations to rule out bowel cancer causing loss of blood. All pointless and unpleasant. The side effect leaflets on the medicines point to this as a possibility. I now take iron supplements and all is fine.

As your name suggests, Clerkenweller, you are in London Clerkenwell? if so was your local hospital for heart problems, Kings at Denmark Hill, I found them excellent, the NHS supervising cardiologist is now my private cardiologist, made the history of my admission so much easier, he had full access and knowledge of the incident and all the angio records and photos
