20 Month Update

I've passed 20 months since diagnosis, and am also two weeks since my last chemo infusion and a week since my urinary stent was changed. It's been a rough month, and a CT scan later this week will determine the future course of my treatment. Read the full version at my blog:

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the update, we've diagnosed around the same time (09/18), but been mistaking with my posts claiming close to 3 years. Your slope is Black Diamond, mine is just a few moguls.

I like the skiing analogy. I've heard some stories online that are way worse than mine, so, helicopter skiing in avalanche territory for them?

Yep, which the worst case scenario would be helicopter issues.

Ouch! Is that analogous to medical malpractice? :-)

Read your blog post. What a horrible time you're enduring. Keeping up with your writing is like running a marathon, in my estimation. Thank you and best wishes for an encouraging scan outcome.

Another great blog post. Prayers crossed for a good scan. Fingers too.

Hey Tom, good getting through the chemo. I understand the stints having had them for many months myself in the past . The chemo should shrink and rid the cancer enabling you to shed the stints. That will be a great day for you . Hang in there .. good luck on the ct and and scan.🙏🌵

Tom I know you’ve had lot of surprises in these 20 months. I hope the CT scan results turn out to be great!
