Post Operative Aortic Valve replacement, single CABG. 2019. Week ago, TIA admission to A&E and ward for 24 hours. Support needed please?
Post Operative Aortic Valve and single CABG July 2019 . On July 28th 2021 I had TIA, out of the blue. Paramedics called, taken to A&E, all investigations carried out, then up to the stroke ward for 24 hours. Home but feeling really shocked, and anxious. Live on my own. Is there a support group for this

London to Birmingham canal walk
A year ago I discovered a brother I never knew existed. I was born in London in 1960 and Mike was born in Birmingham in 1946. We have met in between lockdowns! I have survived three heart attacks, I have been stented, had angioplasty and CABG. My partner Ruby and I felt it would be appropriate to walk

Is it possible to take a biopsy of a cardiac artery plaque in order to determine exactly what it contains?
Hi All I was found to have, via CT Angiogram, in July 16, a very high Calcium Agatston score of 1315. I then had CABG in Feb 17 at age 66. The day before I asked if it was possible to do a biopsy of a plaque, to help in identifying what they contained. They said it was not possible. Is this correct?

Life has changed
I woke up 5 days ago worse for wear. I was agitated and couldnāt breathe properly. Two times this struck me. Around 5 am and 7am. The para said weāll run you in just in case. My heart rhythms were fine but the hospital blood test revealed a heart attack. The angiogram revealed 2 main arteries affected

Apixaban+Aspirin - v- Clopidogrel
Condition: Atrial Fibrillation + unstable Angina; has bare metal stents; aged 94. Long-term NOAC Apixaban+Aspirin was recommended by hospital Consultant after serious angina attack. Before A+A, prescription was for Clopidogrel+Aspirin. GP stopped A+A and now prescibes only Clopidogrel. How would this

Newbie Guidance Please
Hi everyone. Apologies in advance, but I have tried searching for the answers before posting but I got a little overwhelmed. I had a HA 9 days ago followed by 1 stent being fitted, with maybe another in the next couple of months. I have 3 areas I would value your guidance on: 1. Acid reflux discomfort

CABG recovery - sleeping on side...
Hiya, I'm starting recovery week 7 after an elective triple bypass. Advised to sleep on back until sternum sorts itself out. Does anyone know when and how I can begin to rest on my side. Thanks

Recurring intermittent chest pains after NSTEMI heart attack
Hi. I am looking for some advice. I had an NSTEMI in December last year followed by 2 stents in my right coronary artery and a third blockage in the left was treated with an angioplasty. I am now on a selection of drugs including antiplatlet, blood pressure, statins, beta blockers, and angina drugs.

Ranexa
Iāve been taking Ranexa. 8 months after a triple bypass I had an āepisodeā had my grafts checked out all ok. It seems I have a fourth artery that really required bypass or stent but it was decided it was too thin for work. Decided to use meds instead hence Ranexa. Up to the episode I felt great. Travelled
