Bypass or not?
I am 78. I first noticed I had Angina 10 years ago. An angiogram showed two totally blocked arteries and the third struggling. It was not possible to stent them. The angina almost went away completely when I was put on Ranexa. Since then I have been diagnosed with CHF somewhere between stage 2 and

Is 75%stenosis bad
Hi everyone. I have been told there us %75 stenosis of the lad. Just on meds at the moment. Has anyone had a stent fitted at this point or even worse a heart attack or is this narrowing not bad enough to cause a major problem. Thankyou all

Regular episodes of unstable angina
Hi, I had an MI in 2018 which required a stent; up until a few months ago things were pretty good however since April I have had to attend a/e for chest pains and told it is unstable angina. My ecg, bloods and another angiogram do not show a new heart attack (which I am really pleased with) but I am

Unstable angina
After having a stent fitted in the LAD artery 6 months ago and feeling really well, I now have a slightly uncomfortable tightness in my chest. It’s there most of the time, definitely not the pain of angina, just an awareness. Anyone else had this ?

GTN spray for angina only?
Hi. Might seem like a stupid question but as I’ve had different responses from range of medics GP to cardio nurse I thought I’d ask here! Brief history - STEMI LAD October 1 stent. Clot in stent 4 hours later. November - ACS - angioplasty and stent RCA. December- angiogram and challenge test - MVD

Low Bp after running
Hi folks, Haven’t posted here for a while, just getting on with life and navigating the strange journey we’ve all been on over the last 12 months. Massive HA 2 years ago, single stent, significant scarring leading to EF 34% on last MRI in Jan 2020. Haven’t had a scan since, but taking Entresto, Eplerenone

Stent
Hi all, I am 68 year old woman. I had a stent fitted in LAD 25-05. Experienced a lot of discomfort, went back into A&E bloods done. ECG, Scan etc. All fine. Still getting discomfort now. Freaking me out. Is this normal!

Scared!
Over the last year I have been getting palpitations and feeling out of breath more easily than I think I should for my age - I am only 49. In recent months I've noticed a tightness in my chest when I walk for more than 10 minutes walk quick, up hills or up and down stairs too much or too quick running

Asking a cardiologist to re-evaluate an angiogram? Possibility of something being overlooked?
I'm posting this to ask if anyone has had to have a second angiogram because the first may have overlooked something or something needs to be clarified? Hopefully the following will make what I mean clear. Apologies for the lengthy post though. In March this year I had a heart attack and after an angiogram

Pelvic lymph node pathology is in.....
My MO called today and told me: "The biopsy/pathology folks at first were confused, they thought for sure is was metastatic PC. But they finally agreed it was either bladder cancer or rectal cancer, which by the way, was probably caused by the 37 doses of radiation after RP." So now its surgery through

Heart Attack
Hi I am 57 year old female who had a serious heart attack 4 weeks ago. I ate a healthy diet and have never smoked and walked 10,000 steps every day and very rarely drank alcohol. Turns out it was hereditary cholesterol that caused it. I could not get a stent as it is the 3 smaller branches of main arteries

LAD
Last year I had 100% obstruction of the lateral anterior descending coronary artery. Nurses pointed out it's known as the widow maker. Treatment was endoscopy to flush the obstruction then placing a stent to keep the vessel open. What led to this was my barfing during the midday run. I'd barf

Steroids and Heart Heajth
I’m 4 weeks post heart attack and stent placement. This took place whilst tapering Prednisolone after being wrongly diagnostic with Polymyalgia. I’m currently experiencing extreme tiredness and weakness and breathlessness, I’m wondering now if part of this weakness could be down to tbe steroid taper
