Having been discharged from Cardio rehab, my last conversation with my very helpful and amazingly knowledgeable nurse was consider Viagra even if I didn’t have any issues. She suggested that I take some time to do some research. I have mentioned this to my GP who is willing to give me a prescription as I’m now 6 months out from the HA. He suggest I give it a try and see how I get on. Whilst trawling the net I have read a number of papers including the one below, and was very interested in others opinions.
If the numbers genuinely stack up in this paper then it seem a very sensible addition to a medication protocol
For reference I’m only on Asprin, Ticagrelor, omepresol, and 10mg Pravastatin (just started as intolerant to Atorvastatin even at 20mg) 1 stent in LAD …great stable BP, fit, non smoker, don’t drink!

I was prescribed Viagra, but rarely take it as it causes me serious heart burn 🤷, Cardiologist also said it's ok only when on low dose of bisoprolol, as Viagra lowers your heart rate. I think the paper you linked is interesting, but in my opinion it isn't the drug that's keeping you alive, it's the sex.
Viagra was developed as a heart drug and tried out on patients in Wales. It did not give the expected cardiac benefits but when the trial was over the men had enjoyed the side effects and were allowed to continue with it. I prefer Cialis as the effect lasts longer and it does not give me a flushed cace as Viagra did.
