I've had cabg heart op after heart attack back 21 years ago. Always since then I've had pain in left side of chest under ribs at bottom. I blamed it on the heart op.
I've recently had lung function tests at hospital and apparently I have chronic childhood asthma!
Is that causing all the pain and tight chest and breathlessness.?

Hi. I get soreness in the same place, bottom of the ribs. It usually means I haven't been using my blue reliever inhaler enough. Have you asked your GP about it, as it can be linked to other things?
Hi, I've had breathing tests as I said and fluroscopy xray. I also have mild gastritis, they say through low dose aspirin and I can't take lanzoprazole or zole medicines. So stopped the aspirin.I've not had any relievers as the vent, bec, don't seem to work and make me feel worse and others. They are talking about stay in hospital to see what I can and can't take.
Does you GP know you've stopped aspirin? With cabg, it's essential to be taking anti platelet medication - clopidogrel is an aspirin alternative without the acid issues.
