The party is over …
Hi Everyone, Well, that dripping tap must have got me, finally!! No symptoms but a routine Rheumy appt preceded by the usual blood tests revealed that my CRP is over 100 😱 and my ESR is 80 something. But I feel no pain, except for the usual little niggles that I thought came with being nearly 70.

Covid and flu vaccines
I unexpectedly had Covid and flu vaccinations today whilst at the doctor's for something else. Was putting it off but glad it's done now. Today is the day I usually inject my MTX and one nurse said give it a miss this week whilst another said to do it as normal. I decided to give it a miss. Is there

MRI report shows enhancing bone lesion is noted involving the left sphenoid bone.
That’s from an MRI taken six weeks after 10 sessions of IMRT were completed for a surgically inoperable metastasis in my skull. Apparently this means the contrast agent shows increased blood flow or activity in the tumor. Does that sound normal to still have increased blood flow or activity six weeks

Stop Ibrance?
My HB and Platelets have been bad for a while. Mainly because I haven' eaten anything. I am now eating again and feel much better (I had other reasons), but she has ordered me back for new blood tests and wants me to change to Xeloda. I want a chance to get my appetite back up and eating normally before

upcoming PET scan
so, here’s where we are… My Joe has been experiencing increasing pain in his left hip and thigh. Today he said the thigh is numb. PET scan scheduled this coming Tuesday. He thinks it’s a hairline fracture. Is it wrong of me to hope he’s right, vs his cancer having landed there? He’s 4 months post-Pluvicto

Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer. I have an appointment with md Anderson in 4 weeks which seems like eternity. I ended up at md Anderson emergency room due to some blood clots. They ran a ct with contrast & this is what report says Bilateral segmental/subsegmental pulmonary

Is radiation to prostate useful if one has bone mets ?
I see many people with bone mets advanced cancer say they took many sessions of radiation to the prostate. My MO’s never mentioned radiation ever , except spot radiation to pain spots in bones if any when that happens. Does radiation to the prostate in cancer that is already in bones improve survival

Just over 12 months since adt finished. All clear at <0.01 2 months ago when it started to rise to 0.03 then 4 weeks later 0.05 now 0.07. Have Dr's app in 3 weeks which will probably be a referral back to oncologist. Do we need to wait until 2.0 then a PET scan or can I be proactive now? My adt was

Hi guys, Hope you all had a happy healthy New Year :) Unfortunately I had flu, then Covid and what seemed like a virus :( I just started Rituximab infusion 26th September therefore according to the information booklet I’m not meant to have live vaccines (flu, Covid) for 6months after, hence probably

Ready, Set, GO!! LOL
Hi all of my beautiful warrior friends!!! I would like to know what you all have had as far as treatment. I am really most interested in people like me, who have had NO mutations. I am ER+, HER2 LOW I am about to start on Enhertu, but my doctor is hedging to the possibility that I am running out

Fed Up.
Hello again, very long time, no see. I will freely admit that a huge part of my absence has been pure denial. As 2024 begins, I realise I have been a prisoner of my health problems since late 2020, when it all really kicked off probably due in no small way to our good friend Covid, both mentally and

Enhertu
Good morning. Has anyone taken Enhertu for breast cancer? What are your pros/cons? Little back story: dx stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, ER/PR +, HERS2 -, but I am considered HERS2 low w/ a count of 1, in April 2022, I was 44 at the time. Left breast, lymph node in left armpit, multiple spots in my

MRI scan results
I have had back issues for many years but in March this flare up seemed different. I finally went private for a consultation which quickly lead to an MRI scan last week. The consultant called me within 5 days, this set off alarm bells as usually takes 2 weeks plus, to say I have a growth which he would

Which supplements are members using for advanced prostate? I take curcumin and others. I want to know more.
I am diagnosed stage 4 adeno carcinoma of prostate. Receiving Erleada and injections of Leuprolide. I want to supplement with everything known to fight this thing. Who has a list?
