Brain mets.
Has anyone here survived 3 months after radiotherapy on a NSCLC met to the brain? I'm concerned with my wife's prognosis as she has memory problems.

stage 4 small cell cancer
My brother has been diagnosed with cancer 8 months ago. He initially had radiotherapy and chemo. He responded well. The cancer was deemed to difficult to operate on. Since then he was told the cancer has spread to his adrenal glands. This time he was given targeted radiotherapy. Again he responded.

A new cancer treatment can stop the disease advancing in patients who are resistant to immunotherapy, doctors have discovered. Husband Diagnosed with Oesophagus cancer
My wonderful 63 year old husband has been diagnosed with oesophagus cancer. The growth is the size of a small melon and its pushing on,growing around and cupping his aorta. We've been told he cannot have surgery we're waiting to see the oncologist to discuss if he might get some radiotherapy though

Advanced PCa - medication side effects or brain mets?
Hi everyone, Nice to meet you all - this is my first time writing on here and I am so inspired by all of you. I was hoping that you could share some of your experience (or some words of assurance). My dad (62) was diagnosed with relatively aggressive, stage 3 prostate cancer back in 2019, and he

Anal Sex After Radiation Therapy
Hello, My PSA is .23 twelve months after laparoscopic prostatectomy. I am scheduled for a PET scan at the end of the month, and then a consult with my surgeon a week after that. I was able to resume bottoming with my partner about 3 months after surgery, and the sex has never been better. Now that

acoustic neuroma 1.9cm
I have been diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma that was 1.9cm in February but didn’t receive my results until June. I have seen a neurosurgeon at royal london hospital who has advised me that i will require active treatment due to my age. Either radiotherapy or surgery. Really scared of the surgery

Should I ask for a new assessment - third edition - the results are good and bad
I saw my oncologist today after having a new scan with contrast. The good news is that my NSCLC hasn't visibly grown in comparison to the xray on June 1st and is around 1" diameter. I am feeling very well at the moment, fit and active, and putting on weight. The cancer is still in my left upper lobe

Recurrent DCIS
Hi all I had a lumpectomy and radiotherapy about eight years ago to deal with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) it has now recurred, what an absolute pain. I’ve had a mammogram and ultrasound and the radiologist thinks I will need surgery. I won’t know for sure until next Wednesday. But in my experience

My wonderful husband (41) was diagnosed in February 22 with stage 3 in lung and lymph nodes. He's had chemo x 2 and immunotherapy then reduced to chemo x1 and immunotherapy as responded well. Last week, he found a new lump in his neck which after scans shows it has spread again. The disease in lung

Flomax dosage 2x a day?
Anyone out there taking Flomax twice a day and if so, are you taking two doses at one time or spacing them out? If you are taking two was this on advice or consult with your doctor? My PA is suggesting I take 2 doses as I am getting up 8-9 times at night, of course the radiation therapy is probably

Treatment options for local PC that is resistant to radiation
I received radiation treatment to my pelvic area this past spring for castrate-resistant lesions in my prostate and two lymph nodes. A month after completing radiation, my PSA dropped from .22 to .09, but a CT scan showed only a small decrease in size of the lesions. Six weeks later, my PSA increased
