Fit test alternatives
Should I request just to skip to the
colonoscopy
? Is this even possible being 40 and not 45? Thank you!

Colonoscopy/tests normal but still having issues
I’m so tired of being sick and I was so hoping the
colonoscopy
would find something so I could at least know what’s wrong with me.

Does this sound like a flare up?
He has been referred for an endoscopy and
colonoscopy
and he’s worried they’re going to tell him it’s the ‘c word’. Is it possible that this is a severe colitis flare? Can anyone with colitis share their stories of having a flare after so long or those who have had issues with naproxen.

Periods after birth
Hi, Just wondered what your experience was of periods following birth? I am bleeding heavy every 10 - 14 days for 10 days minimum at a time. By heavy, I mean, more than I did even straight after giving birth. This wasn’t normal for me, prior to birth, I was regular every 28 days and bled for 5-6 days

Want to share my experience....from many years of IBS and now IBD.
The minute I explained my weight loss ( and all the symptoms) he said I would need a
colonoscopy
which because it was rapid weight loss could be done on the NHS. I fact, the
colonoscopy
was done one week after seeing the consultant (mid October).

Prednisolone and Afternoon Colonoscopy
On the morning of the
colonoscopy
, I think I have to start taking the Moviprep at about 5am - otherwise it will not have the chance to work before I get a lift to the hospital (an hour’s drive away).

Found My IBS-D Cure!
I tried everything over the years such as probiotics, going vegan, dairy free, homeopathy, trying to kill off candida, stool samples (all clear) and even got an endoscopy and
colonoscopy
. Nothing worked and I rarely, if ever, did a solid poop. My sister recommended I try taking Camels milk.

Colonoscopy at 19
I’m getting a
Colonoscopy
tomorrow but I’m freaking out. Not exactly over the procedure itself but more so for the results. I’m scared of getting diagnosed with Colon Cancer. I know my demographic for it is very low. Honestly I wasn’t even the one who asked for the procedure.

Continued worsening of my GI symptoms in spite of treatment by a dozen GI specialists. Anyone else have had a similar experience?
CT SCAN, MRI, X Ray,
colonoscopy
, EGD, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy didn't reveal anything anatomically abnormal. So the GI treated me empirically for CIC, then IBS-M, followed by SIBO, H Pylori and GORD.

Any ideas, Anybody... What could this be?
Colonoscopy
pre Christmas revealed nothing, but a healthy bowel - a huge relief. Is there anybody out there who suffers with anything similar? Any clues? Any shared advice? Thank-you. Poppy the Cat

IBS says gastroenterologist but,
I have low iron levels and red cell count is lower but QFIT, calprotectin, gastroscope, sigmoidsxope and virtual
colonoscopy
CT scan, small bowel capsule all negative. Most strange. I cannot sit or lay on my back because i get heavy pressure weight in lower abdomen. Im male, aged 55.

Radiation Proctitis - what medication have you been prescribed?
My
colonoscopy
showed severe inflammation and bleeding (although this has subsided a lot!). Every so often the inflammation flares up, I get very sore and tender, my lower tummy swells up and it doesn't go away for days.

Pain after bowel movement
I was diagnosed with IBS several years ago and had the usual investigations ,
colonoscopy
, ultrasound etc - all clear. The condition did improve but has recently come back with a vengeance. Main symptoms - gripe on waking and urgent visit to the toilet.

, and I’m concerned about taking my preds with no food, or not taking them at all. I am currently at week three following Dorset Lady’s slow taper from 3.5 to 3 . Help please on what to do.

ESR as a predictor of disease Activity while on Actemra
I had no symptoms at all but within a few weeks had battery of tests including chest and abdomen CTs,
colonoscopy
, liver scan, X-rays, cancer blood marker draws and a slew of other esoteric blood tests. Nothing - only elevated CRP and ESR.
