does having endo mean I am at high risk for ovarian cancer?
hi! I an 26 and I have recently been diagnosed with moderate endometriosis. I am having a hard time coming to terms with it all and I consulted dr Google. I came across studies that show endo is a precursor to ovarian cancer and increases risk. I already have health anxiety however now I have gotten

delayed reconstruction
I had a subdural haemorrhage in may 2023 removing most of the right side of my scull even encroached my forehead that’s some 10 months ago now. I was supposed to receive reconstructive surgery and have titanium implant to protect the sensitive area where my skin is my only protection to my brain. That

PSA SCREEN VS SYMPTOMATIC
My current PSA test is called PROSTATE SPC AG, SCREEN. My previous PSA test from the same lab was called PROSTATE SPC AG, SYMPTOMATIC. Both labs were off the same order from my MO. Whats the difference?

Genetic Testing?
Does anyone have an experience to share about getting genetic testing done on your biopsy samples? I'm interested in three tests: (1) a DECIPHER test, (2) a full gene sequencing of tumor DNA and RNA (e.g., at Claris Labs), and (3) the Artera AI analysis of digitized pathology slides. Also, if anyone

After diagnosis of prostate cancer I found the U of Marylands success terminating cancer with clioquinol + zinc. They emphasis treatment for prolactin dependent cancer that my doctors didn't seem to know existed. Anyone else find that to be true?

low dose abiraterone and possible pain
Hello everyone, i am new here for my dad and found this community very helpful. Does anybody here find low dose protocol of abiraterone effective? Also, how do you treat bone pain? Or how do you determine if pain is coming from the bone or some other factors like chronic pelvic-prostate syndrome?

In March of 2022 I had a kidney stone and a lung nodule was detected on right lower lobe and suggested follow up in 3 -6 months

Update finally on treatment
Hello ladies and gentlemen, I am finally on treatment, it took nearly 4 months from dx to treatment (due to moving from South Carolina to Seattle area). I am on Ibrance (Dec. 13th) and letrozole (Nov. 16th). And I am on palliative care for pain management since I have neuropathy in my left arm and hand

Update following meeting with MO
For those following my journey, I had a face-to-face meeting with my MO today and learnt a few things I didn't know. Firstly, the genetic test of the liver tumour the NHS do only tests for BRCA - no other genes. The reason appears to be that the only treatment they would offer is a Parp inhibitor so

How bad are these PSMA Pet Scan Results?
My second post. Just got my PSMA results back. 48 years old. PSA is 100. 12 Biopsies all show cancer. Mostly 4+3's two of them 4+4's.What do you think ? My appointment with MO is not till Wednesday. What do think he will offer as treatment method ? I'm just worried and concerned.

Newbie Here with CA 27.29 Question
I live in Humboldt County, Ca., which is far northern area - almost Oregon. Our Medical Community lacks continuity in care, especially Oncology. I’ve “seen” 8 different doctors in the 3 1/2 years of diagnosis. I say “seen” because some appointments have only been phone calls. Doctors come and leave,

Provenge criteria necessary for acceptance.
Apparently Medicare will pay for Provenge provided we are castrate resistant and metastatic. But are there other requirements like certain PSA parameters and lower testosterone levels? Do we have to remain on ADT while being treated with Provenge?

New to dialysis; CKD caused by lithium
Second, I've had some other serious health issues that I'm still dealing with (such as recovery from
colon
cancer
surgery). It would be good to get feedback. I've enjoyed exploring the posts on this site and feeling part of a community, albeit a virtual one.

Could I try BAT to restore sensitivity to previously used antiandrogen treatments.
I failed Abiraterone and SOC doesn't allow the switch to Enzalutamide. I was reading on the use of BAT to resensitize mCRPC. Would this be a therapy that could work or is it too late now that I have failed. I know its not SOC but I am running out of choices and looking for some clarity. Its basically

Enzalutamide any advice/tips for dealing with side effects
Stage 4 PCA for last 3 years. Had 6 cycles of Chemo and then Abiraterone for 18+ months (PSA dropped to 0.2 then more recently rose to 58 in June '23 ). Abiraterone eventually stopped working and I was able to join Radium 223 trial. Completed 5 of 6 cycles of Radium 223, then elected to stop since scans
