Salvage treatment for radiorecurrent PCa
If I’m lucky I’ll soon be facing a decision as to which salvage treatment to have for radiorecurreent PCa. By lucky I mean that if upcoming tests show no spread outside of the prostate and I’m a candidate for salvage treatment. The salvage treatments I’m considering are SBRT, Brachytherapy and Cryotherapy

Husband getting extremely tired on Zytiga
Tim began Zytiga one month ago. He is also doing Lupron and EBRT which will be over in 5 sessions (he had 5 weeks of them all together). Up until about 5 days ago, he was working and then going to Pilates once a week and to the gym, but now he is coming home EXHAUSTED from work and barely has the energy

Immunotherapy before/after or concurrent with Chemotherapy
Hii all , My father is failing ADT and next step is to start chemotherapy . I have discussed the case with APAC Biotech Gurugram regarding Immunotherapy . They have suggested to do it before chemotherapy as the tumor cells will shrink during chemo treatment and they will not be able to get good quality

ESMO 2024: Cabozantinib plus Atezolizumab versus 2nd novel hormonal therapy inmetastatic CRPC, overall survival results of CONTACT-02 Study
Basically, even if there was a prolonged progression-free survival, OS was not statistically different in the two arms. BUT a strong survival advantage was seen in patients with liver metastasis! https://www.urotoday.com/conference-highlights/esmo-2024/esmo-2024-prostate-cancer/154863-esmo-2024-cabozantinib-plus-atezolizumab-versus

Has anyone heard of trial DB-1311-O-1001?
Hi all, I’m wondering whether anybody has heard of the above trial? My Dad had been put forward for this and was advised yesterday he got through onto the trial but the paperwork says “first trial on humans”. They aren’t sure of the side effects and we are all feeling a bit apprehensive… My Dad has

Generative AI tool to help with immunohistochemistry
This is a very interesting system! Thanks to Justfor_ for sending me the references. In cancer research, staining involves coloring tissues to highlight specific features under a microscope. Common techniques like H&E staining help visualize the general structure, while immunohistochemistry (IHC)

Finally Something’s Working
I have had this mutherf*cker of a disease 19 years. I have had numerous rounds of Lupron. I have been on Casodex, Erleada, Nubeqa. Zytiga, Provenge, 8 rounds of Docetaxel and, now, Pluvicto. As is standard, after my third round of Pluvicto I had a PSMA PET scan. Finally, something seems to be working

How many treatments of Chemo can the body handle
I have had 7 cycles of docetaxel and 3 of cabazitaxel. The oncologist wants to continue with another 7 cycles of cabazitaxel. My question is how much of this poison can the body handle. Does this chemo destroy things permanently in the body. I know that the fatigue is taking over. I couldn't run

heading for salvage therapy
hello all. Well my last two ( three month) PSA tests were 0.10 and MO. And RO. Recommend somewhat early salvage radiation treatment. A question I would like some input on is should I look into proton therapy over IMRT. I would need to travel to Fred hutch or Salt Lake City as I live in Reno Nv. Just

Seeking Advice on Clinical Trials or Treatments for Advanced Prostate Cancer with Bone Marrow Involvement
Dear Forum Members, I am reaching out for guidance and support regarding my father’s ongoing battle with advanced prostate cancer. About a year ago, he was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer with extensive bone metastases but no organ involvement. Recently, we discovered that he has a BRCA2 mutation

Kindly seeking advice about my options
I'm metastatic HSPCa on Lupron/Erleada over two years now. Three periaortic lymph nodes and two ribs lesions. Sooner or later, I will go metastatic HRPCa (average about 3 years to become hormone resistant). So, my question is what kind of treatment coming next Thanks for your input

after being fast tracked ABD-147 was designed orphan drug for the Treatment of Neuroendocrine Carcinoma (prostate included)
DLL3 is expressed by neuroendocrine cancers, including prostate cancer! They plan to start a phase 1 trial by the end of 2024 (on lung cancer, but it’s worth to keep an eye on it). “ABD-147 is a next-generation precision radiopharmaceutical biologic therapy designed to deliver Actinium-225 (225Ac)

Chronic sinus issues
I’m currently on an Xtandi, Zometa and Lupron treatment plan. Could there be a correlation between one of these drugs and chronic sinus stuffiness? I also take a cholesterol drug and 3 different blood pressure meds. Thanks in advance if anyone has information. My Best Jim
