Diagnosed after a chest infection earlier this year. Short stay in hospital. Now on 7 daily meds. Awaiting follow up from consultant. Please help as so much advise needed. The condition affected my feet really badly due to swelling and pain so much so I'm still not walking properly 10 months later and

Seen the Rheumatologist
Hey everyone! I went and saw the rheumatologist yesterday, he was great. He listened to me and really thought it could be behcets. However, I don’t have any eye symptoms so he’s lenient on giving me a diagnosis. My genital ulcer is finally gone!! But left a huge scar, and now I’m started to get mouth

Great Doctor, diagnoses possibly!?
Hi everyone!! What started out as a terrible day from pain with mouth ulcers and genital ulcers ended up fantastic. I was able to get the afternoon off of work, and head to the doctor, I was waiting for test results to see if I had any stds or anything. Nothing showed up besides some high inflammatory

Pericarditis - well I'd not heard of this 3 weeks ago ...
Hi guys, my first post to this site. I guess I'm looking for advice/reassurance really as I don't know anyone with this condition. I was diagnosed with acute pericarditis 3 weeks ago, after 5 GP visits, 2 A&E visits with one hospital admission. Currently taking Colchicine, Ibuprofen and Co-Codamol

High blood pressure after ablation
I am new here. I had my ablation 5 days ago and my blood pressure started to go up two days ago. I still take the same bp meds as before, and they have added colchicine, pepcid and famotadine to the mix. Could any of those be causing an increase in my bp? It was normal when I left the hospital.

Nicotine and it’s effects on my Behçet’s for the positive!
Even with colchicine, my mouth ulcers would not go away. I found this. I would never endorse smoking, but my pain was more than I could bare and gave it a go. I was a non-smoker who started smoking, and still do because it works. I do not know why, but it works. I wanted to post this for anyone who may

Advice please!
I was diagnosed with BD about 2 years ago after having the flu which caused a very severe flare up which left me in hospital for a week on morphine. I was told it may be herpes (which I was actually happy about as I knew there were treatments for this and was very common) however, after many tests they

Pericarditis pain still
Hi all, I had small heart attack and 2 stents fitted from 17th March and from then still have pain in chest and between my shoulder blades. It’s so debilitating and worrying. I was given colchicine for a week and then told to take normal pain relief thereafter. I got a scan to check for fluid around

Frustrated pericarditis versus inflammation of esophagus
I was diagnosed with pericarditis on April 11th . It started out as palpitations and then progressed to sternal chest tightness . On my first cardiologist visit my ekg showed st elevation and I also had a high sensitivity of crp 9.2. I wasn’t told to rest so I continued my 12 hour shift job ( 3 days

Colchicine / Sucralfate
I recently had an ablation and the doctor prescribed these drugs. Also a drug called Pantoprozole. Are these really necessary? I never had issues with GERD or ulcers before.
