Intrinsic Factor
Hi, I have vitamin B12 injections every 8 weeks but started having to reduce the length of time in between as found the 2 weeks were neurologically symptomatic. I am now finding I’m hitting the 6 week mark and I am so fatigued and symptomatic it is getting me down. I had a blood test before my last injection

Hi everyone, This is my first post and I have a some questions regarding absorption of B12. I have had Crohn's since since I was 24 and now I am 47. I have had a terminal ileostomy for 15 years and 7 years ago I had another 9 inches of my small bowel removed due to the disease. I have had B12 injections

In what conditions (other than Hasimotos) are TG Antibodies raised (but TPO AB's are not)? Also results interpretation please.
In what conditions (other than Hasimoto's) are TG Antibodies raised please? I'm struggling to obtain a clear answer on this. Below are my MediChecks full thyroid panel results; the MediChecks GP stated that my results indicate Hasimoto's, although my TSH indicates my thyroid function is "fine" currently

Newly diagnosed with RA
Hi all, I'm Dominic, I was recently diagnosed with seropositive RA, I am/was a keen Marathon/ultra marathon runner and competed in an off road ultra marathon as recently as July, I then developed a pain in one toe which I presumed was a stress fracture from said run, over the next few weeks, this spread

Could it still be B12/PA??
Following a spell in hospital pneumonia - something was found in my stomach. Intrinsic factor positive but B12 450 Folate 6.2. On coming home IF was retested and came back negative. Tomorrow I have an endoscopy as the suggestion is auto immune gastric atrophy. In short might it still mean I can have

Intrinsic Factor test Negative :-(
Hi guys I'm hoping someone can advise me what to do now. I recently got my bloods back for the IF antibody test and it was negative. My symptoms got better when I had my b12 loading doses, I've looked back at past bloods and my b12 levels have always been low or on the low side for the last 10+ years

How do I know if I have an absorption problem??
Hi, Im trying to decide between taking the 1000mcg Jarrows sublinguals or the 50mcg cyanocobalamin tablets. I’ve been taking the Jarrows for three weeks and have come out in an itchy acne type rash. How do I know if I have an absorption problem? I’m hypothyroid and tested negative for the intrinsic

New neurologist?
Looking for advice on getting s new neurologist. For a history: 47 yo female meat eater 2 years of “mild anemia” bloodwork with nothing specific to note. Recurrent mouth infections and vaginal infections that nothing seemed to help. Mild recurrent tingling in feet/hands. Incresing lack of energy, crankiness

New to the site and navigating confusing symptoms from teh USA
I’m new to this site, 37 and living in the USA. Probably like many of you, I’ve found this site from hours of research on my bizarre symptoms. I’ve been diagnosed with "suspected PA", not because I lack intrinsic factor, but because I tested positive for partial cell IGG antibodies. Starting in January

Has anyone tried using castor oil packs?
I seem to be having way less pain since using castor oil packs. In the hope of reducing the size of/ eliminating fibroids and endometriosis. My stomach is always flatter immediately after using them. And the more that I use them the less painful my periods are. Just a thought to share with you all.

Newly Diagnosed RA
Hi All, I had my first rheumy appointment yesterday. I was officially diagnosed with RA and have been given options on which meds to take. Rheumatoid factor was positive, CCP positive as well, but my inflammation levels, CRP and ESR, are normal. It was first thought I had lupus so RA has thrown me for

Still waiting for results!
I had a blood test 4 weeks ago. My GP wanted a full blood count and also Intrinsic Factor test ( which I had to request) as my B12 levels have been steadily dropping over the last 12 months, despite a diet rich in B12. The FBC results were back within a week but I'm still waiting for the IF test results

Injection frequency for Vitamin B12
I have been diagnosed with severe deficiency of B12 a month ago. My B12 level was 95 pmol/l (which is 42.27 ng/ml) and Active B12 level was 18 pmol/l (8.01 ng/ml) . I presented my GP and Neurologist with slow movements of right arm, right hand fingers and leg. I have sort of little burning sensation

Just got diagnosis, what else should I be taking
Hi All I have coleliac's disease and had always believed that my low b12 was due to this. I was a little casual about getting my 3 monthly b12 shot as I've been super-busy setting up a new business for the last couple of years. My last blood test showed b12 of 112 and I'm now having 6 shots every other
