TWW torture
Hello everyone I have recently completed my first fresh transfer and I’m currently in my “TWW”, or how I like to call it, “Hell on toast”! I am 38 with a 11cm dermoid cyst on my left ovary. Just over a year ago I had a 8cm dermoid cyst removed from my right ovary. We’ve been trying naturally for

Starting Sertraline for PMDD
Hi, I'm starting Sertraline in a few days to see if it helps with Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). I'm waiting on a consultant appointment and have resisted trying antidepressants for quite a while. The symptoms in the week leading up to my period have made me realise I need to try something

Kardia. An alternate way to use it.
I think Kardia is a great home device and own four of their models. However, from experience and after reading many posts here, it seems that how you use Kardia can often be the difference between it being helpful device that helps diagnose and manage arrhythmia's, and a device that causes more stress

Flecainide for Afib, PVCs and PACs
I’ve been taking 10 mg of Flecainide twice a day for almost a month. My question is, how long does it take before Flecainide starts to work? I have seen no difference in my Afib, PVCs, PAC and Trigeminy. In fact, I could almost say they have gotten worse. Is it possible that Flecainide doesn’t work

Sweetened drinks linked to atrial fibrillation risk
Many, many years ago, I used to occasionally have a gin and tonic or angostura and tonic (if driving). And became convinced that, if the tonic contained saccharin, I would likely end up having a relatively high heart rate. But this was long before I had any idea about afib. As I hate the taste of saccharin

Heart Rhythm query…
Please can anyone explain ? My Kardia can show a result of Afib or SVEs even when my heart rhythm appears to be constant. It can show heart rhythm of say 61 throughout a 30 second trace, without fluctuation, yet reveal I have an irregular heart rate. As we are often told to check our pulse and if it’

Abiraterone vs Docetaxel
The CHAARTER, GETUG15, and STAMPEDE
clinical
trials
confirm that I will derive a benefit from ADT+D, but there doesn’t appear to be any benefit that is greater than ADT+AAP. I have completed 3 cycles of Docetaxel (3/4 dose). Is there any reason that I should continue beyond the 4th cycle?

GCA, Afib, heart failure
I was concerned my Afib following a TIA Aug 23 wasn’t controlled. GP requested bloods for BNP plus CRP/ ESR which hadn’t been done since March. I have had bouts of fatigue which have up to now been linked to adrenals following a Syncathen test. The CRP came back as 15, ESR 14. Rheumatology helpline suggested

Since first experiencing Afib 4 years ago, I have been advised off and on to consider ablation. Many people seem to think that ablation cured or reduced their Afib, while others have reported disappointing ineffectiveness and complications. It is difficult to pin down statistical assessments because

AFIB durations.
Hope you all are enjoying you spring. 🙂 I have been AFIB free for a couple of years now, with the exception of 1 episode a couple of months ago, which 811 recommended I go to the ER (always on weekends eh?) to get a conversion back to NSR. After several hours of having blood taken, hooked up to monitors

Meds vs Ablation
Hello all, I’m weighing the decision of meds vs ablation for my Afib. I am currently doing fine on meds, Xarelto and 50mg Flecainide 2x daily that my cardiologist prescribed. However, I am waiting on a referral to an electrophysiologist. While waiting, I am trying to learn and gather as much info

Measuring force of heart beats?
Hi. I'm Amelia. New here. Age 63. Paroxysmal AFib since at least 2015. Dx in 2018. Rx Metoprolol. Question: is there any way of measuring the force of your irregular heartbeats? Just wondering if that could explain the difference between people who don't feel their Afib and people that feel all of it
