Travel insurance while on trial
Hi everyone, my dad is on a clinical trial in the UK (ODM-208) and is struggling to find travel insurance. Apparently as soon he mentions he’s on a trial they’re not interested. Has anyone else had any luck while on a trial? Thanks in advance!

Looking for participants of the trial. I start it on the 27th. Will take in combo with fulvestrant. Want to know side effects and how to address them.

Hi, I was diagnosed with PD about 1 and a half years ago, with my only symptom being a weakness in my dominant hand. I have not taken any PD medications but have been taking nicotine gum for over 8 months and exercising. I have noticed little to no progression but there may be a little increased stiffness

What clinic trials have been successful?
My husband's next oncologist appointment is tomorrow. PSA is at 74. It has been a roller coaster ride since March 2017. Prostate removed with many complications in hospital. Was there for 2 weeks, which should have been 2 days. Was weak for several months after. Follow up appointment 3 months later

Phase 1 Clinical Trial of AGX101, a novel TM4SF1-Directed Antibody-Drug Conjugate for the Treatment of Solid Tumors
A new and hopefully potent ADC. Antibody-drug conjugates, not only for prostate cancer, are a hot topic now, so they should get better and better as competition rises. https://www.biospace.com/angiex-announces-first-patient-dosed-in-phase-1-clinical-trial-of-agx101-a-novel-tm4sf1-directed-antibody-drug-conjugate-for-the-treatment-of-solid-tumors

Curcumin and Green Tea supplements are liver toxic
I know that some patients take these supplements in spite of clinical data showing no effect for prostate cancer. I updated the article on curcumin with health warnings on hepatotoxicity. PLEASE, if you are taking either or both as supplements, at least tell your oncologist, and get liver enzyme tests

New way to delay resistance in prostate cancer
In vitro/in vivo but ready for clinical. I have found and tried to read the paper...what I understood is "great news!" but don't ask me to explain better than this: Prostate cancer treated with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) can (will) develop into castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), making

The FMT / PD Study Results I Had Been Waiting For Were Released Today And It Was Very Disappointing
The Helsinki FMT/PD study results were done last August, but the release was delayed to meet publishing requirements. Those results were released today and from my point of view, the placebo group seemed to do as well or better than the FMT group, which is very disappointing. These are the worst results

Interesting diet study for NASH and Fibrosis.
"A clinical trial, led by a team at NDPCHS, has shown that a three-month rapid weight loss programme was not only safe but also effective in reducing the severity of a liver disease non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) with liver fibrosis." https://www.phc.ox.ac.uk/news/rapid-weight-loss-found-to-be-safe-and-helpful-for-people-with-liver-disease

Next treatment?
We just left the Oncologist office and not good news. PSA is still climbing. It went from 64 to 74 in 6 weeks. Hubby has been through XTANDI, Chemo, targeted radiation, RADIUM 223. Been on Eligard for 7 years. Oncologist would like him to go in a clinical trial at Princess Margaret hospital in Toronto
