Just started NDT - dosage advice please
I started taking Nature-throid today. It's my first time taking a NDT, so I started with 1/4 of a grain which I took first thing in the morning. I normally take just over 25 mcg of Levo (32.5mcg) as I seem to be very sensitive to thyroid medication, so I was worried about starting on 1/2 a grain.

Advice on complaining/raising a concern about a consultant (self referral)
I self referred to a endocrinologist in May this year. My TSH was not considered high enough to treat by my GP but the thyroid panel found high TPO antibodies. Long list of symptoms that go back many years plus family history of under active. The results stated positive for autoimmune thyroiditis so

Hi im new here. I have all symptoms of underactive thyroid. Fatigue, aches and pains, depression, feeling cold, bad memory. All my blood tests come back as normal so I was diagnosed with cfs but I have my doubts. Decided to do my own tests which I have posted below. Just wondering what others think.

Why must we be completely gluten free?
Hi, I have Hashimoto’s and have been trying my best to be gf as that seems to be suggested that it’s a good idea. I know that some people can feel fatigued if they eat gluten. Plus I’ve read something about the antibodies attacking the thyroid because of the gluten, but I may be completely wrong. My

Hi everyone, I am trying to conceive and during routine tests my TSH came back at 5.8 with T4 of 11. My GP wanted to leave it 6 weeks and retest and when we did my TSH was 4.6 and my T4 was 12. My TPO antibodies were 113.5 so she agreed to give me 50mcg of levothyroxine. I have now been on this for

Help me – desperate for advice. Feel so uncared for by endo :(
Please can someone advise. I am so unhappy and I feel that my endo has just stopped caring about me. I was diagnosed hypothyroid in 2011, levothyroxine wasn't started until 2013 because my TSH wasn't regarded high enough until then. I increased in March 2018. I am also aiming to be pregnant.
