Thyroiditis and TRAb antibodies? Can they co-exist?
Hi, I was thinking of my thyroid history (warning! Long!). So, I had a very bad cold last December 2019. Then I started getting this heartbeat sound in my ears when I laid down flat, shortly after the cold went away. I thought I heard the heartbeat in my ears because the cold affected my ears, but as

Thyroid antibody testing
My gp has agreed to do thyroid peroxidase along with usual nhs thyroid tests. I notice there is another antibody, would that need testing too or would TPO results be enough. I thought of getting a private test done alongside for comparison which had both thyroid antibodies, is that overkill? Thanks

TPO test results-can someone explain?
Can someone please explain this? My TPO antibody results came back as 222(above average as I believe average is 100 or below)I called the doctors and they say it's nothing to worry about... would only be an issue if the levels were 1000 and above(which is ridiculous!). My T4 levels are also slightly

Hashimotos thyroid
I know I’ve asked many questions before as this year has felt like hitting a brick wall going from a completely feeling 28 year old female, always on my feet working or getting to go out and be with friends and family to now being in constant pain and barely making it out of bed sometimes overnight.

TSH Halved
For over a year I have had TSH towards top of range, and high TPO. During this time I have had 3 monthly tests and finally after much insistence managed a referral to see an Encrinologist, As my last NHS test was 2 months prior I paid for a full thyroid and vit level with Blue Horizon. The TSH was

Levothyroxine without prescription
Hi, I been trying to get treatment from my GP because I have hypo symptoms. They get severe to the point where can’t do anything. I have cyst and inflammation in my thyroid. TPO antibodies are high. So it seems like is Hashimotos disease since is also runs in family . Although my doctors don't think

ENT Appointment - silent reflux and hyperthyroid!
I saw ENT today due to problems swallowing, but they were more concerned about my now overactive thyroid due to my suppressed TSH according to my last blood tests in Sept 2020: TSH: 0.01 (0.27-4.2) Free T3: 4.99 (3.1-6.8) Free T4: 11.9 (12-22) TgAb: 233 (<115) TPO: 17.8 (<34) I just wasn’t prepared

Are my TPO & TG results ok?
Hi everyone, My TPO and TG results look good to me (below 60) but then they have added the “comment”. My TSH, T4 and T3 were all fine and the comment was “euthyroid levels”. I have no thyroid diagnoses but got it checked out due to how I have been feeling lately and some issues I’ve had for several

How to proceed?
Around 2017 the debilitating hypo symptoms started up. LDL cholesterol was flagged high and my morning blood fasting glucose started to rise by ten points (still within range), while terribly hyper/hypoglycemic all day. Before 2017 I recall living and functioning normally but looking back now I remember

Do I have hashimotos just because I have high TPO antibodies?
I had some medichecks tests done last year and although my TSH was 1.7 and t4, t3 etc were all within range my thyroid peroxidase antibodies were 88 ( elevated) I had the rests all redone this year and my tsh is now 2.5 and my antibodies are 155 but again t4, t3 all within range. I know that 20% of

New here, Help with test results please
Hi, Read lots of posts but this is my first time posting. Brief history, I am 46 years old and was first diagnosed hypothyroid and B12 deficient in 2014 when my periods were reversed (heavy bleeding 28 days a month, not bleeding 4 days). Having a coil fitted stopped this but I know if it was removed

Further bloods advice please?
Have already had some great advice here - just a couple of points I’m struggling with and thought I’d post in case anyone can help. Brief background - no official diagnosis or meds. Symptoms ongoing roughly 1 year. Two thyroid nodules classified as non suspicious, cytology normal. Saw private endo in
