Treating AI Hashi's & coming off Levo - is it possible??!
Hi there. I have Hashimoto's and my aim is to eventually come off the Levo by somehow treating the autoimmunity. I'm on 100mcg atm but i hate taking medication and I don't want to be on it for life. I've been on it for 4 years now so I worry I'll never come off it. Started at 25mcg and increased dose

Hello everyone As I’ve stated before I have underactive thyroid, which took me several years to get treated as my blood tests were in range. My mother and aunt have the same. I’m sure my daughter has the same. She has had ME for 8 years. She’ll soon be 23. She’s had large weight gain and huge hair loss

Thyroid hormone resistance index and mortality in euthyroid subjects: Di@bet.es study
Acquired resistance to thyroid hormone has been discussed quite a few times on forum. Good to see a paper recognising the possibility.

Alternative to Levothyroxide on NHS
Hi everyone, My most recent results show my thyroid still needs to be re-medicated (long story but I came off Levo under the instruction of Dr Peatfield before he retired) but I am reluctant to go back on to Levothyroxine because it made me feel horrendous. I was previously taking 175mcg and my TSH still

Hypothyroid misery! would appreciate on my latest lab results
I had become very symptomatic (extreme brain fog, fatigue, depression, weight gain, joint pain) after several years of doing well on 75 mcg levothyroxine, as my former gp kept my TSH at a 1, where I felt best. I relocated, and my new gp (testing only TSH once a year) felt my latest TSH results of 3.96

Can anyone offer advice please?
Hi, I have moderate ME/CFS and generally feel crap. Along the way to that diagnosis, a few years ago, I discovered I have elevated TPO antibodies. Not too surprising since I have a family history of hypothyroidism. My results are within range (listed below) but I'm wondering if anyone has tried levothyroxine
