not sure why the change

Because antibodies naturally fluctuate.

A few years back hospital results just said positive

Were you diagnosed with autoimmune thyroid disease at that time?

No, the consultant was not very nice, he had cancelled my appointment without me being informed and when I arrived he was not going to see me, I waited 2hours for him to just say you're fine, never even mentioned the TPO, but on another post I was told a positive TPO meant hashimotos, I have had all the symptoms of underactive thyroid for years, and have felt absolutely shattered for years, feel like I'm doing everything through a fog now and have had enough of no one listening so trying to learn more to help myself get back to my normal self, so any help is gratefully received

It's a shame you haven't got the actual result and range.

For a diagnosis of autoimmune thyroid disease you would need an over range TSH (but not necessarily the 10 required for a diagnosis of primary hypothyroidism) with raised antibodies.

My renal consultant said that my symptoms and my results were confusing as the TSH results recently were low so he thought that ment over active but all my symptoms were underactive yet the last TSH looked normal so very confusing
