Ablation outcome
So I haven't been on for a while or updated on the outcome of my ablation that I had at the end of August. I stayed in and out of NSR for about 2 weeks before settling in to a symptomless permanent AFib. The only problem was I felt breathless on climbing hills or running. A 24 hour ECG showed my average

tapering off azathioprine
Hi all, Just had a consultation with my rheumatologist today and he has changed his outline for me going forward that you may find interesting I was diagnosed with GPA in 2017 and was quite severe at time of diagnosis. Initially had cyclophosphamide infusions and have been maintained on azathioprine

Heartrate
I have just started wearing a smart watch and cannot stop checking my heartrate. I am on 1.25mg of Bisoprolol which I have been taking for over a year. This was for an episode of AF. My resting heartrate is around 55. Sometimes at night whilst asleep it is as low as 45. Is this acceptable? I feel OK

question about hypothermia?
a couple weeks back, I visited my Kaiser infusion lab …. Lupron implant and Zometa pain train infusion. While there the intake nurse was alarmed with my 95.2 body temp. It’s been running between 95.2 and 95.7 lately. She told me to go to the E.R. , immediately, if it dropped to 95 or less. They were

Kidney Donor who now had CKD stage 3a
No one from that institute has EVER told me that I have
CKD
stage 3, which i think it was their responsibility to tell me. The only thing they did tell me was to check my blood pressure regularly.

A positive story
2 years ago I was suddenly hit by atrial fibrillation. It knocked me sidewards with daily episodes lasting hours at a time which made normal life impossible . I though my life was over . I tried flecanide , bisprolol and lasted verapamil ...none helped much and caused bad side effects that affected

Private cholesterol testing - not DIY
Hello all, I used to keep blood tests abroad, but I travel less now. The NHS will give tests every few years, but I’d like to keep an eye on my LDL figures. I have tried at home kits with limited success. I just wondered about options for clinics who do this? I’m sort of OK to pay up to £80 but any

Ablation update and reassurances.
Had an ablation Dec.30. Afib episodes Jan. 2-5. I felt worse than ever before but Doc said to take 200mgs amiodarone on the 5th and would schedule a cardioversion if I didn't go back into NSR in next couple days. Well, lo and behold, went into NSR on the 6th and been afib free since. I have a follow

2 weeks after ablation - ectopics going a bit crazy!
had a PFA ablation almost three weeks ago. First week was ok, the odd ectopic, but now the ectopics / palpitations are happening almost constantly, worse after food and at night when lying down. Doctor tells me things should settle down soon. Doesn’t feel that way right now! I take bisoprolol and flecainide

Going in For Second Ablation
Hi folks! I had my first ablation over four years ago, at Texas Cardiac Arrythmia with Dr. Andrea Natale. I wasn't able to come off my medication after, but the meds then worked to control my afib and numerous PVCs where it didn't pre-ablation. During these four years I had been taking 50 mg of Flecainide

End of life - day 7
Mum’s challenging journey with CBD is approaching the end. She is now 7 days with no food or fluids. We said goodbye to my stepdad at his funeral on Wednesday. I’m just heartbroken and struggling to find the strength, it’s so emotionally draining saying goodbye every day. I just want mum to let go and

Stopped Flecainide
At my last office visit, my Cardiologist suggested I quit daily Flecainide, and use only as a PIP. Since I had not had any episodes in the past four and a half years. He also thought the Flecainide was keeping my heart rate too low, which is what originally brought on his suggestion. So far it has
