Wanting to trial T3
To cut a long story short I have been on Levothyroxine for over 20 years. Recently diagnosed with chronic fatigue. As a result of this I have consulted a Functional Medicine practioner & found out that I have Hashimotos (no surprise) & my T3 level is very low despite high T4. I'm looking at seeing

T3 trial
I’ve been fortunate to have been given a trial of T3 on the NHS 😊👏🏼 The pharmacy weren’t able to supply immediately, as they had to order it in. What can I expect, health wise in the next few weeks? Does it have a dramatic effect, or does it take months for any noticeable changes ? I understand

Mood change on T3?
I've just recently started t3 initially 2.5mg twice a day now 5mg twice a day. I've noticed my mood is insane. Feel quite low and serious anger outbursts. T4 is still 125mg. I'll be decreasing to 100mg once I increase t3 to 10mg twice a day as per endos instruction. I don't have a thyroid. Also take

Very Low TSH normal T4/T3 Doc wants to lower Levothyroxine dose
Since first being diagnosed hypothyroid, my TSH has generally been low. One consultant thought that taking me off completely would sort it out. I was ill for months, lost hair and took a long time to recover. I'm not keen on 'reducing' my dose while my energy levels are okay. Today my doc wants to lower

Raised TPO Ab normal TFTs
Hi, first posting. 46 years old female, Graves disease 6 years ago (with odd/paradoxical symptoms at the time including weight GAIN), treated with carbimazole and TFTs have remained in normal range for last 4 years. BUT, my TPO antibodies are raised at 400 (range 0-34), thyroglobulin antibodies normal

Progesterone and Test
Hi all, I had a day 6 frozen blastocyst transfer on Friday 26/07. The period was supposed to arrive on Saturday 3rd August, I did a pregnancy test on Sunday, which was negative. The clinic suggested doing the test on day 11 (Tuesday 6th)...will it turn positive? how many women saw this change as positive

Post TT blood results
This is my first tests since TT 7 weeks ago.I'm on 150mg levothyroxine Endo nurse will probably reduce my medication tomoz. Am I right in thinking serum free triiodothyronine is T3 and means my body is adequately converting T4 to T3?

homozygous, so I have the 2 copies for H63D. I’ve had a thought 💭
I’m homozygous/have the 2 copies for H63D. I’ve have higher ferritin levels over past 7/8 years ranges from circa 180 upto 380 at times. I found out as hubby bought me a Family history genetic test as a present and it included health DNA results. For years & prior to the genetic test & since, I have

Genetic testing
Has anybody utilized genetic testing for more accurate medication options in treating their depression and what has been your experience with the success of this route. Thanks for any input anyone has on this subject.

Tiromel Potency
For those using Tiromel T3 have you ever experienced differences in batch potency. My latest batch seems much stronger than my previous one. I'm feeling over replaced on it even though I've not changed dosage. On that note should I reduce the T3 or reduce my Levo?

Update on low Synacthen test
I posted a few weeks ago about having what I thought was a low Synacthen test of 180. I now have a doctor's letter which tells me it was 130!! They are referring me to an endocrinologist, and he says they may use hydrocortisone conversion. I've never heard of that. Anyone else had it and did it work

Hello medically-minded people Tryimg to decide whether to take statins or not. This is my latest cholesterol test readings. Would oral iron be useful given my Iron levels (in description)?
I have RLS and got some bloodwork done. The following came up: IRON , SERUM 91.0 µg/dL TOTAL IRON BINDING CAPACITY ( TIBC), SERUM 353 µg/dL FERRITIN , SERUM 116.1 ng/mL I was wondering if Oral Iron would be useful for me or end up giving me toxic levels of it.

Histamine and PV
Hi Everyone, I'm newly diagnosed with PV at the age of 49, and am largely symptom-free at the moment, which I am still surprised by considering my haematocrit at diagnosis was 0.70! Home has been Sydney for the last 18 months (I'm from the UK) and I feel like I'm receiving great care from the Kinghorn

beware. Naproxen!
I am now taking 10mg Oxycodone having come off of 1800 mg per day of gabapentin which didn’t help my severe RLS. I have two questions. Severe itching is a common side effect of oxycodone. I take Loratadine 10 mg but it doesn’t help much. I have read that other antihistamines contain an ingredient that

I was diagnosed several years ago with Hashimotos. Like many, it took a very long time to get my thyroxine levels ok for me and I needed to resort to T3 as well as T4 in order to feel and be well. I help myself by being dairy, gluten and alcohol free and eating a nutrient dense diet. I exercise most
