Vacationing
Hi. I was wondering what you all do to prepare for a vacation when being on an airplane and change of air quality triggers your asthma? I haven’t traveled since before the pandemic but that was also the last time I had to take prednisone. I also used to travel for two weeks so I had time for my asthma

Weaning off of Zytiga and prednisone
How to wean off of Zytiga? I've been on one capsule (250mg) every other day with 5mg Prednisone everyday. How to wean off these drugs together?

does poor adrenal function until they work again increase CRP results?
As in your dropping the prednisone under 10 and down lower and lower? I just dropped today from 7.5 to 5, and don't yet feel any different.

My doctor won't acknowledge PMR without inflammation markers in blood tests.
I have been in unbelievable pain for seven months. Was vaguely suggested PMR by neurologist and given prednisone, I was well for about five months.after the trestment. The pain is back with a vengeance now in hips arms neck over and above not being able tp walk. Repeated visits to doctor blood tests

UTI infection
I have a UTI infection and so far two antibiotics have not worked, and I am allergic to most other kinds. I assume this shows how my immune system is not working well now thanks to prednisone and Kevzara and that an infection is what will finish me off rather than the PMR. Also having a temporal biopsy

Considering whether the AFib is from asthma inhaler.
With PMR we have other comorbidities. As I tapered My pred from 8 to 7 3/4 I noticed increased palpitations …? Blame it on prednisone? Adrenal insufficiency ? My asthma inhaler? I decided to contact my pulmonary to, perhaps, change the inhaler, Breo, which has arrhythmia as an adverse effect. A person

Sharing My Good News
I hope this is OK to do considering the same is not true for others. Essentially, about 18 months ago, my PSA began rising (to very low levels) after being dormant for most of the previous 10 years. Following a PSMA my MO thought the largest tumor in my left acetabulum was the culprit so after several

Total mess
I've had the worst year ever I've have PBC with an overlsp of AIH since diagnosed in 2015 I am supposed to be getting a thoracic spine operation but can't get cleared because my blood keeps coming high on the APTT & PT which means I can't clot and if I can clot I can't have the surgery. My liver enzymes

Right hip and shoulder pain
I have been on Prednisone for two and half years and have slowly reduced to 2and half mg. Now got pain in Rt hip and the outside of the thigh. Also a slight pain in right shoulder. I have had a relatively pain free reduction and have continued with yoga and kayaking. I am not sure if this pain is PMR

Sourmouth
Dry sour mouth all the time. Started a few weeks ago but been on prednisone since April. Could it be that I was also on an antibiotic (bactrin) for UTI for 10 days and currentlyt i finished yesterday. Taking 20 mg prednisone and plan to reduce to 17.5 mg on 7/30.

Interesting rheumatologist appointment
I have had pmr for 8 years. When I was first diagnosed, the dr. Told me it will last about 2 years on average. I have taken about 15 mg of prednisone most of that time. I have tried various dmards to try and decrease the pred. But nothing works. At this appointment I asked her if she has any patients

Dizzy spells not magic
Hi, I am down to 2mg of prednisolone and have had some days of fatigue which I managed with rest. I seem to have reduced fairly swiftly from 20mg which I started in early March 22 for PMR.. I am having more frequent days where I feel more energetic and just have some stiffness in legs in the morning

Live shingles vaccine or not?
I would appreciate your guidance on the importance of which kind of shingles vaccine to have, i.e. live or not? I am on medication for GCA, 5.5mg Prednisolone, plus Levothyroxine, Bisoprolol, Amlodipine, Rosuvastatin, Ursodeoxycholic Acid, Famotidine, Losartan. With many thanks.

achille’s tendons anyone?
I was doing great on 5 mgs prednisone and feeling like my old self. Frankly thought I was on my way to remission. Went to 2.5 mg. Okay for a couple days then my left ankle became tender and started swelling. I’d been doing some heavy lifting and moving of furniture so I chalked it off to that. BUT the

Why do my symptoms feel like Multiple Sclerosis when I taper?
Hi Everyone, I have had to go backwards from 2 years of tapering. I am now at 12 1/4 mg Prednisone today. At times during the day, when I can feel the inflammation inhabiting my body with extreme physical fatigue, extreme tingling extremities and inability to walk as usual. My legs move very slowly

Platelet blood work
Hi, Dr initially diagnosed me with PMR (47 yr old). After being on 30 mg prednisone for 13 weeks almost and not a lot of improvement he is now exploring other seronegative spondylitis types eg AS or reactive arthritis. Still awaiting HLA-B27 blood tests results. I received 2 blood tests today back 1)

Best way to take Prednisolone
Have different brand of Prednisolone this week so read the information leaflet and it says to dissolve the tablets in large glass of water and wondered if that is a better way to take them ? Previous brand just said take as directed by docter but as there was no instruction I’ve just been swallowing
