They have been great. The others just dished the pills out. Had a shingles vaccine aswell.

That sounds very positive. My doctor just prescribed the medications and left me to it. I often wonder if I should be reviewed on a regular basis and would be interested in the experiences of others.

I have what’s called a “structured medication review” tomorrow with a pharmacist attached to my GP practice. As far as I can recollect I had one about a year ago.

That sounds reasonable. I was only diagnosed eight months ago so it’s reasonable to think that I may have a review after twelve months as my husband does for his hypertension medications.

I’ve just looked up structured medication review, it may be worth looking it up beforehand if you are invited to one. If you are not it says that you can request one if you think it’s necessary.

My lot leave me to sort out my own Pred but, and I think it's important, I do have blood tests every two months, which reassures me everything is ticking over OK.

Hi,

I am happy.

Really don’t know what to say to you, except that I was on prednisolone for 2 and 1/2 years with ups and downs. I finally reduced slowly and came off them, but at times asked my consultant and GP if I should increase them as I felt awful They both said no so I persisted.

I have since October last year suffered back pain and was referred to MSK physio therapists, who suggested an MRI scan of back and neck, resulting in a diagnosis of cervical spinal core compression.

I am on a waiting list for a Anterior Cervical discectomy and body fusion.

I just wonder if I had PMR, and if the steroids have weekend my bones and muscles.

What else can I say, but do wish you well and hope that you can reduce and get off the steroids safely.

If the pain is due to PMR painkillers do nothing.
